Pair of Alpha Core Goertz Silver Foil Inductor 0.68mH
Pair of Alpha Core(Goertz) AWG14 Silver Foil Inductors. I bought these direct from Alpha Core about 8 years ago and they are now surplus to requirements. They have been used in one crossover so are in good condition with long leadouts. The leadout show some sign of tarnish that is easily cleaned away. They measure to spec(0.68mH +/5% They come with little rubber discs to put them on and I will supply the mounting I used. Which are Nylon bolts with little wooden bobbins that hold them down. New these are staggeringly expensive. Equivalent Mundorfs are around the £800 Each, so £1600 the pair. They weigh 490g each are 65mm in diameter and 33mm high. Postage costs reflect insurance and signed for on delivery. Collection always possible! Sharp eyed will not the Alpha Core label says copper.they are not. Just nice silver.

This part came out of a Collins 180L Aircraft antenna tuner. It has been tested and the motor and coil work fine.It goes 34 uh maximum. This uses a shorting drum so it is very dependable. The shorting drum is made of aluminum and the conductor is flat silver plated. As you can see the DB-15 plug is there so you wire it up if you'd like. This would make a good start for a remote or antenna tuner. I have priced this below what I have seen others sell for since I have more than one. So they may go fast. These came from a working power supply. The windings measure 13.0 and 13.1 ohms DCR. The pictures show unit 1 on the left and unit 2 on the right, except the picture of the top, in which they are reversed. Since these are vintage pieces of electronics I can't accept returns. Here is a White 1/3 octave EQ#4000 series. The power supply has been recapped(see picture) and all bands operate except for the 400 hz band. If you can get along without 400 hz or fix this yourself. You'll have a great eq at a bargain price. The in-out switch is a hard bypass. There is also a high pass filter in addition to the 31 bands. These are classic EQs made in the 1970s. They use inductors to create the EQ bands.

Up for auction is one Auditronics 110B microphone preamp and EQ module. I have a second unit available in a separate auction. I purchased both not too long ago with the intention of racking them up. But needed a quick fix for a project and picked up a pair of inductor-based 500 series EQ's. Regretfully selling these to offset the cost. The module is untested. But was pulled from a working Grandson console and should be functioning well according to the prior owner. It is in good physical condition- no sticky pots or buttons, all mechanics appear to work as they should. I took off all the knobs and button caps and gave it a decent cleaning- aesthetically I'd consider it to be in very good condition for it's age. Sold AS-IS based on age and the fact that I cant test it, but I don't expect any issues. It is of course possible ... morea recap may be in order, could be a scratchy pot here or there, etc. but I went into it thinking I probably wouldn't have to do any of that. Rebuilt SAE Class A Discrete Inductor Based Equalizer
Rebuilt/refurbished SAE Mark VII inductor based equalizer. Class A. Discrete circuitry using large torroidal inductors(like a Pultec) Power supply was rebuilt. New“Atom” Sprague capacitors. New power dropping resistors, and Vishay Ultra-Fast soft recovery diodes were installed. Output boards also received 4 Nichicon ultra-low impedance capacitors. All sliders and switches were thoroughly cleaned. Unit was mounted on a 4 unit rack shelf for rack mounting. This is an EQ monster. A poor man's Massive Passive. Very warm sound full of rich harmonics and saturation. 11 ganged stereo band controls. Great tracking, mixing, mastering tool. I've had many passive inductor based eqs in the past(Summit Audio, Square State EQ1b, Black Lion Audio AM/CHA-1 etc) The sound of the SAE sold here blows them all away IMHO.
