16 x NOS 65K Ohms HYCOR - IRC 1/2 Watt Non Ind. Wirewound Resistors - 1950s!
16 x NOS 65K Ohms 1/2 Watt Hycor(IRC) Non Inductive Wirewound Resistors 1950s Vintage. The actual value is 64.6K. But we figure 65K is close enough: Awesome old school vibe! The final photo depicts the internal construction of several noninductive types. Why use noninductive wirewounds? Noninductive wirewound resistors exhibit the highest stability. The lowest noise level, and the most revealing sonics of all resistor formats! They are the ultimate Old School passive component. Because of their expense- in the 1950s. Noninductive wirewounds typically ranged in price from $2.00 to $20.00 each- this resistor type was employed in only the best audio equipment of the era- gear made by firms such as Regency, Cinema Engineering, and Westrex, the pro audio branch of Western Electric. Resistors are. Far and away, the most prevalent component in audio ... morecircuitry. The installation of noninductive wirewound resistors in place of generic carbon composition and/or metal film types is the most audible modification available to the audiophile and recording professional. This resistor type will never again be manufactured in meaningful quantities as the tooling. The techniques, and the trained workforce required for production is all but extinct. It is only a matter of time before the audio blogosphere becomes aware of the format. At which point the price of noninductives will rise substantially. We have the only extensive inventory of noninductive wirewound resistors. It will not be available forever. Shipping Details We will always combine orders for all buyers. Domestic and international. Our packaging is extremely rugged! Most orders are double-boxed and are housed in USPS Flat Rate envelopes. We do not charge any additional"handling" fees. Overseas packages bear at least 2 address labels. Attention: International Buyers We know how expensive overseas shipping can be and will allow international buyers to purchase from 2 consecutive weekly auctions in order to lower freight expenses. The Ohmite resistor was measured at 49.54 Ohms which is within 0.92% of the specified value. These measurements were made using a Fluke 8060A high accuracy DMM. Both of these resistors are well within the 5% tolerance of the original specification. Additionally the Ohmite resistor is tappable to provide reduced resistance if needed. This is accomplished by using the standard sliding tap available from either Ohmite or Clarostat.

Vintage MEPCO 300 Ohm 1% - 2 Watt Resistors - 11 Pcs. P-2,P-3
Thanks for looking at my listing. This is for 11 vintage resistors as pictured. MEPCO 300 ohm- 1% 2 watt resistors. The ends have soldered terminal lugs with a.085 diameter holes that are spaced 2.25 inches apart. I checked all of them at 299-302 ohms. I recently purchased a large amount of vintage CB and electronic equipment from a store that closed it's doors in 1979. The items were still stocked on the shelves just as they were left 35 years ago. Very cool experience. These resistors were in the repair shop in a labeled cabinet with alot of other NOS and used items. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I ship only within the United States and use only PayPal for ebay transactions. The shipping is free. Thanks again and please look for more vintage electronics and other interesting items I have listed for sale.
