WINDMILL FAN 8 feet Diameter Wind Mill Farm Vintage Fan Blades This auction is for a vintage Windmill fan from a farm in Ohio. It measures 8 feet in diameter. There are six(6) fan sections. Each section has three(3) blades. There are a total of 18 blades. Included are six(6) spokes that hold the blades in position. These spokes are shown in the photo. Note the windmill is not assembled. The length of each blade is about 29 inches. The blade is about 12 inches wide at the wide end and about 6 inches wide at the narrow end. The blades are galvanized steel. I think. I just laid it out in the driveway for the photo. I swept some dust off it. But it is not cleaned up. I have never assembled this. When the windmill was being taken down(in the 1970s. I think) my wife and I“rescued” it and I always imagined that I would install it as outdoor art ... moreon the end of the garage, or somewhere else. It never got done! Now we are thinking of downsizing. And I’m trying to clear out all the stuff from the garage. We are seeking a new home to value the history and honor what this windmill fan meant to a farm family in Ohio many years ago. The windmill hub is not included. Only what is in the photos. This is a total of 6 fan sections and 6 spokes. Perhaps this could be displayed at a museum. Or perhaps on the end of a garage. As I imagined. Or on a wall in a restaurant or pub. Or think of it as"authentic art" and exhibit it where you will enjoy it to the max! I predict there will be some pieces that are slightly bent. My inspection indicates there is nothing broken. These earrings and matching pendant/charm weigh 3.3 grams of silver. They are not stamped. Perhaps because they came from Holland. All of the original packaging is marked real silver. The dangling earrings measure 1 1/4" from the top of the pierced earwire, the windmill alone is 3/4" long x 1/2" wide. The blades spin. They are bright shiny silver 3D figures. The matching pendant is also 3-dimensional with spinning blades. It measures 3/4" long x 1/2" wide and has a jump ring for adding it to a chain for a necklace or a charm bracelet. This lot is for a beautiful hand stitched feed sack WIND MILL design quilt. This quilt measures 76" x 79" Weighs 3 pounds prior to packaging. There is NO middle batting inside the quilt. It is top and back sewn together. There is some difference in coloring in the feed sack cloth. Not sure if they were different colors to begin with or from fading. There are a few rust spots in one area- please see the photos. NO HOLES. I personally soaked and cleaned this piece BY HAND and then ironed for inspection. Wonderful piece.
