1954 FARMALL SUPER MTA TRACTOR, POWER STEERING, LIVE HYDRAULICS NR!
This Farmall Super MTA tractor is a 1954 model with the Behlen power steering and live hydraulics. It also has a fast hitch(I've been told it's correct. And been told it wasn't a factory option? The engine is stuck, and they broke the crank pins(for the hand crank) because they put a pipe wrench on it to try to get it free'd up. I was told it was running 2-3 years ago. I took the plugs out and filled it with diesel fuel. The threads were corroded. The serial number is 69616 S. The block has no cracks or repairs on it from what I can see. And is the correct 4/26 Z date code. I pulled the little hose loose that's on the side of the block and it has good looking antifreeze in it. I can't see any in the top of the radiator though. Along with the live hydraulics it also has the two way hydraulic valve(which is hooked up ... moreto the fast hitch) It has Behlen power steering, and has been converted to 12 volt. It also has a Swartz wide front. Both front spindles have been repaired and reinforced where it curves out to go to the wheels. And the on side has been welded on top to the steering arm piece. I'm not sure if you can get new replacement parts or not? I have a factory narrow front w/wheels and tires that I can include(if desired) The front rims and tires don't match. The back tires match and have lots of tread. They are weathered some. And the one has a spot on it where a piece of rubber was torn? out. And a spot on it with filler in it? or has a blem(see pics) the other back tire has a similar spot on it. They are 15.5 x 38's 6 ply. The one rim is rusted out a little by the valvestem. The other one has been repaired by the valvestem, and has some decay by there. The fast hitch does have a few weld repairs on it. The battery box part of the seat has some rust through and the bottom half of it appears to have been replaced. The hood has a crack on the one side towards the front.
