This unit works fine.The only problem it has is that parts of some of the numbers don't show up on the LED reader which makes it a little harder to read. Otherwise it is quite accurate. This unit was used in a high school that has recently closed. This is a Dole 300 Grain Moisture Tester model# PB-70-1. Serial# 811932. Manufactured by Dole Valve Co Morton Grove, Il I honestly know nothing about this equipment but I did plug it in and followed directions to balance it and all functioned as directed. Thermometer reads same temp as temp in my home. Please not it does not have the little side cup thingy. Machine itself is in very good condition with just a tiny bit of surface rust in one spot as shown in photos. The case needs to be cleaned up a bit and the tabs that hold it closed are gone. Here is a vintage Dole 300 Moisture Tester. It works. We tested it on some dry corn and oats. It is older and well used. But still usable as it it! The paper that was glued to the bottom of the case has torn loose, but all parts are there~ the instructions on the paper are easy to follow! Has an extra weight on the back of the unit. Not new and not the prettiest. But a great stand by when you need to check moisture! Shipping is FREE to the lower 48 states~ others please email. It is heavy! About 15 pounds. Only selling because I have bought a new tester with more features. Easy to use. Just select the grain to test, fill the sample cup, and push the button. Has settings to test corn and soybeans. Will test wheat with the conversion chart printed on the side. Directions for use are printed on the back. Includes a padded carrying case with belt loop. I'll include a new 9v battery also. Often I know very little about the items that I offer, so please help me out by closely reviewing the pics to best judge what you are bidding on. Description: Steinlite Grain Moisture Tester manufactured by Seedburo Equipment co. Type S. No operating manual. Missing power cord. And feed hopper. Please take a look at the pictures to see what you will receive. It may be missing several parts and pieces I am not aware of. Condition: The original power cord is missing. The white cord shown in the pictures was used for testing only and will not be included. The feed hopper. I may be using the wrong terminology for this piece) is missing. Operating/Service Manual not included. Please take a ... morelook at the pictures to see what is included) I removed the bottom cover to better secure the vacuum tubes during shipping. You will need to remove the packing material and reattach the cover after you receive it. Dusty dirty throughout. Several areas of scratching. Paint loss, and discoloration. It powers on. Indicator light comes on. The vacuum tubes light up. The% moisture meter calibrates and provides a reading. Using Quaker-Oats Oatmeal( rolled oats) for the testing. It provided a reading of 30% moisture. Although it appears to be working. I do not know how accurate it may be. I expect it will need some type of service, calibration and possibly parts and repair to be fully functional. I have a novice interest in this type of thing. I am not a expert. It is possible that I might be using incorrect terminology and or overlook something regarding condition. Please take a look at the photos, and ask questions if you have any doubts.
