PROBABLY THE QUICKEST, EASIEST AND CHEAPEST WAY TO REPAIR THIS WOULD BE TO TAPE OVER THE HOLES AND FILL THE BOTTOM 1 1/2" OF THE TANK WITH SOME TYPE OF EPOXY/FILLER/BONDO/FIBERGLASS, ETC. CAST IRON MUFFLER FOR ANTIQUE 1HP IHC FAMOUS HIT AND MISS GAS ENGINE
Here is a cast iron muffler for an antique engine. It is 3/4" pipe threads and is in great shape. It has new looking nuts and bolts on it. Not sure if it is an original or not, but the bolts look newer. It does have the IHC logo cast into the body and is not lightweight castings. Shown is the engine it was on, this auction is for just the muffler and the engine picture is just to show the engine it was designed for. It will of course fit many(any) other engines with 3/4" IPT exhaust. We sell mostly vintage items so they are not always perfect. If you have questions. Please feel free to ask. Vintage Fairbanks-Morse Hit Miss Triplex Pump
This 3x4 plunger pump was the smallest in a series of engine driven pump outfits offered by F-M in the 1920s. This one is nice and tight and able to mantian 150 psi at 50 gpm. Or 200# for shorter periods. It was last used in the 90s for doing steam locomotive boiler washouts before its engine was removed and repurposed. It takes a 6hp Z series engine and comes with all mounting hardware, shims, etc. as well as a viarity of hose adapters. Its plungers have been stainless steel sleeved and it is fitted with a manual bypass for use in hydro testing, making this a very usable pump for a variety of purposes. Weighs 1000# and, being skid mounted, is easy to load onto a trailer.
