This is a turn of the century apothecary jar which is 11" tall including the stopper and 4 3/4" in diameter with 3 1/4" stopper. Jar is heavy and sides are sturdy and thick with side marks as if made as"pressed glass" or in a mold' Stopper is interesting 1" thick and 3 1/4" in diameter There is an indented part on top of the stopper 1/4" deep and1 5/8" across. The plug part is 2 1/2" across and about 1/2" deep with a large indent also 1/2" in and 1 1/2" across. Around the edge of the plug/stopper part ther is a thin ring of cork which must have been glued on and there is about 1/4" part missing. Outside of jar has remnents of a label. It is covered in a mottled wood finish on the outside that has been carved out in the middle, down the sides, around the bottom, and even around the stopper. The corners have been smoothed out and the entire piece has a very smooth, satiny feel to it. The stopper and decanter are a lovely shade of green glass on the inside. The stopper fits very, very securely into the neck of the bottle, to ensure that your contents remain fresh. This listing is for a beautiful blown glass. Footed decanter. This has a heavy applied handle and I think the style or shape is called a claret. This is unmarked as to a maker and measures approx. 11" tall at the tip of the spout. There is no stopper with this. There are no nicks. Chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. The only issue being that it needs cleaning of light water spots. We did not want to do this incorrectly so we are leaving it up to the winner of the item. This is a high quality carafe with matching fitted stopper made of solid glass. It stands 11" tall with the stopper in place and 8" tall when the stopper is removed. It measures 5 1/2" across at the widest part of the decanter and the neck is 2 1/2" across. It is a heavy piece weighing 2 1/2 pounds. One not too bad, and one divot that's 1/2" long and 1/8" deep. All of the stopper that appears once it is on the cannister is in very excellent condition. The cannister portion only has a 1/2" scratch near the bottom and the rest is excellent. Quite heavy thick 2 seam glass display jar at 4 1/2 lbs.
