This is a very nice antique copper sterilizer that was used to hold glass petri dishes. There are no dishes included. Just the sterilizer. There are a few dents to the container but the inside holder slides in and out without hang up and the lid goes on easily. There is one identifying mark on the container but I can not verify the name. There is a capital letter B which is surrounded by a circle. 14 Pyrex glass petri dishes by Corning RARE THICK GLASS
Up for auction is a lot of 14 pieces of Pyrex Petri Dishes. These dishes are rare. They are thick glass and very hard to find. The smaller dishes measure approx. 3 3/4" across x 7/8" tall x 1/8" thick. The large dish measures approx. 8 1/4" across x 1 1/8" tall x 1/4" thick. They were never used in the lab. They are from a friends mothers estate. She had them sitting on her coffee and end tables and said they were coasters. This lot is for(7) of the divided dishes(6) of the single dishes and(1) large dish. The large dish isn't marked Pyrex. It has no markings on it.
