These have all been individually tested with an Ohm meter and are WITHIN THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS. Other auctions for pickups may use the word“tested” but they haven’t been put to an Ohm meter test which is important to be sure that your pickups perform uniformly. These are from a 1978 Rhodes so they are the newer. Shorter pickups which are the most common ones, used in all pianos starting from 1973 or so. In the picture it is the BOTTOM one with an overall length of 3 1/16 inches or 7.8 cm. Up for auction is a Teisco E-110 single-coil. Single-pickup electric guitar. The guitar is in good shape. There is some wear on the finish, and the bridge and tailpiece are both pitted. The guitar does play fine. I have levelled and re-crowned the frets, and I do not have any fret buzz anywhere on the neck. That is not to say someone else woudl not pick up the guitar and find a buzz. The action is low, can be raised simply by raising the bridge as desired. The switches work well, and have been cleaned. The jack is original, and whoever gets the guitar may want to replace it, or simply clean the contacts thoroughly. It's a nice guitar from days gone by. OLD ANTIQUE HOTPOINT ELECTRIC SPACE HEATER CAST IRON BASE WORKS GOOD EXTRA COIL
Up for bid is an old antique Hotpoint electric space heater. Item is in decent used condition for being so old. It has a copper top with a cast iron base. It has wear on the copper that will need to be cleaned and polished. Also has some tape on each side of the bakelite on and off switch.But it works good and puts out a good amount of heat. There is also a small piece of porcelain where you screw in the coil that has a chip in it. This does not affect how it works. Rare Victor Electric violet ray machine circa 1900 quack medical Tesla coil
Up for auction is a very rare and early Victor Electric violet ray machine. Let me start off by saying this is sold for display ONLY. This is a very dangerous device and whatever you do with this you do at your own risk. There are plenty of ways to be killed by this machine since its makers had no concern for safety. As you can see, it has seen better days, but I did run it for about 2 seconds and I got a ½ inch spark between the electrodes at the top, but working condition is not guaranteed and I don’t plan on firing it up again. All this needs to be a nice display item is a fresh coat of paint and some polishing. It was designed to run on 110 or 104 volts AC or DC(the previous owner unhooked the 104 volt terminal internally) and the power is applied to the un-insulated terminals on the base. Touching these or any other metal parts ... morewhile power is applied will probably kill you so please don’t! Now for the bad news: There is no continuity between the electrodes unfortunately(not sure if that was the case before I fired it up) So there is a break somewhere in the secondary(probably in the wire going to the top part) The wire exiting from the side is present but does not go to the terminal anymore(you will need to extend and reconnect it) However the primary is still good and measures 52 ohms. The paint on the base flakes off with just a gentle touch, so expect more of it to be missing when it arrives. I have removed the electrodes for safe shipping so look for them in the package. The pictures are very much a part of the description, so please examine them closely before bidding. This machine is sold as-is for display only(no returns! The frets have almost no wear, the body is in excellent condition with the exception of one small scratch that you can see in photos 9& 10. Vintage General Electric 2173 Smoked Lucite Wall Clock, Telechron Coil & Rotor.
Up for auction is a beautiful Vintage General Electric Model 2173 Lucite Wall Clock. With Telechron"S5" Coil& Rotor. The clock is approximately 6 3/4" square, give or take a bit. Unlike the more commonly seen blue and green ones. This one is a sophisticated smoky brown. It works well and keeps time and the constant sweep of the second hand(thanks to the famous Telechron rotor) is so much nicer than the jerky motion of modern quartz clocks. Cosmetically. It's in very good shape for its age- it could use a polish and there are a few scratches, which are inevitable in something this old, but I can't find any major cracks or anything. The lucite photographs very differently under ambient light and flash, so I've taken pics with both, to give you the best possible range of views of it. Please look at the pictures ... morecarefully and feel free to ask any questions. As a vintage item this is sold as-is. A note on history: The more commonly seen blue and green versions are often described as being from the 1950s. I don't believe that this is the case. The"S" designation confirms the coil as Telechron. But General Electric bought the Telechron plant in 1960- and you'll note the"GE of USA" stamped on the rotor housing. I therefore believe that these clocks were most likely manufactured in the 1960s. Certainly no earlier than 1960 and not later than 1979, when the plant was sold to Timex. This auction is for a antique electrical component. Manufactured for the William B Duck Company. I was not able to find much online about it bur here is what i found; The Duck Co. started in Toledo in 1908 when William B. A lawyer who had developed an interest in wireless, went into the mail order radio parts business with his brother, John J. an electrical contractor. The company was called the J.J. Duck Co. They sold all kinds of radio parts made to their specifications under the Duck brand name. In 1914. John withdrew to attend to his contracting business and the name was changed to the William B. Duck Co. Duck was in a unique position when broadcasting began in 1921. He offered everything needed by the home builder. Business boomed until 1925 when factory-made sets cut into the parts business for home builders. He operated radio station ... moreWHU in Toledo. He struggled into the depression. But finally sold off his inventory and closed in 1932. He retired at the age of 52 and died in Marietta in 1952 at the age of 71. This is by far the nicest example of a Victorian door bell we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It is nickel plated ove cast iron with very fancy scroll design work. The door bell measures approximately 5 inches tall by 3 5/8 inches wide by about 2 inches tall and it weighs about 1 1/2 pounds. The over all condition is really nice as you will see. For now. Just the outside connectors were used in order to read with the ohmmeter: voice coil: 6 Ohms, field coil: 13,3 Ohms? read on outside front connectors! Tears in paper cone. One of them repaired in the past(please look at the photos) The speaker was very dirty. So it should be cleaned especially inside(under) the paper cone and around the voice coil.
