The unit has automatic digital readout which takes only 6 secs of time for a measurement. The EDM could be removed from its tribrach for replacement with a theodolite for angular work. This is a nice looking unit with a nice sokkisha theodolite tm10c. The auto ranger II electronic distance meter is very nice cosmetically. I bought it at an auction and the batteries are not good anymore so I have not tested it properly. I did hook a car battery up to see if it powers up and it does that is as far as it has been tested. It does the power up and goes from 0000000. 11111111, 2222222, 33333333 etcetera all the way through 99999999 that is all I tested except the lights also work. It may need serviced I'm not sure. Wild Heerbrugg DI 3000 Distance Meter
Used and working condition two DI 3000 EDM'S. I just tested them the other day mounted on a Wild T2000 and measured to a single prism at aprox 300M. it worked fine. As far as all of the other functions I cannot vouch for because I do not have the Manual, and I am not extremely familiar with these. Its very clean, the battery seems to hold a charge, I left it powered on for aprox 30 min with no problems. The EDMs comes with orange carrying case, one battery& power cable. Both EDM'S are essentially the same, they are both clean and work. the only difference is the carrying cases are a little different. These were used in the early 90s Surveying era, for Large Geodetic type Surveys. here is a link with some info from Wilds webpage.
