This auction is for a rare sterling silver James Avery running cat brooch. Not sure if the cat is a Cheetah. Leopard, Jaguar.whatever it is it sure is pretty. The brooch measures 2 1/4" long, has a straight pin and good working clasp. It is marked J/A Ster with the Avery candelabra hallmark. The brown mark in the picture is from my flash and not a flaw. The brooch is in good condition but does need a good polishing. This buy it now is for ONE package of Avery clear mailing labels. There are 750 labels(25 pages of 30 labels on each) I have taken pictures of some of the damages that I see of the packaging. This is a buy it now listing and I have nine to sell. Most of the packaging has writing on it. Some have creases, and some are previously opened. With the packages that were obviously open, I have counted the pages, and taped them closed. They are stamped"W& T AVERY LTD" and"TO WEIGH 2 LBS" ... moreThey balance well. Should they ever get out of balance. Rather unlikely, there is a small box of ball bearings on the underside of the small pan which is accessed by removing a plug on the top. When I acquired these scales they were in a terrible state. The metal was almost stripped of paint. I am always very reluctant to mess with scales especially the very old ones but these were just not acceptable as they were. So I stripped them right down to the base metal and repainted them. There is a chip in the porcelain as photographed. There is some discolouration and scratch marks in the metal bowls. Given they may be over 60 years old this is entirely understandable. Please do not expect them to be as new. They are a nice size. 12” wide and 7 1/2” high, not taking up too much room on your worktop. Even if there was a full set of weights with the scales originally these have long since gone. I have put together a nice set of AVERY weights 2lb. 1lb, 8oz, 4oz, 2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz and 1/4oz. 3 Photographs 1/4th Plate Ambotype 1861 of Olde NY 7th Militia in full thermoplastic case which is damaged. The Ambro type has a crack running from young Soldiers left side facing through arm down across hip& thigh. Doesn't affect this spectacular image. White militia belt& rectangle plate worn by the Old 7th. crossed chest belts. Early era as he very neatly trimmed. Cloth stripe approximately 4" wide down each sleeve to sleeve edge w/4 buttons under the green pad on the right side facing was an Oversized CDV of 4 soldiers-Smoking cigars Kepi's-Dark Blue stripes on pants-wearing boots-what appears to be a"7" on their caps& taken outside in front of a military back drop. Lower edge has loss of some of its albumen where the names of the 4 were written in period style hand in pencil. On back also in period ... morestyle hand& pencil is written: In Camp July 1862 7th Reg 2. Near Baltimore" A 1/6th Tintype No case Fully Equipped Old 7th New York Militia Soldier has some bends that show on front but emulsion is good. The 4 soldiers found under the pillow(some of the albumen from bottom is inside lid of case) and 1/6th Tin Type with NO Case C. R.
