TAS465 was Tek's 100MHz portable analog scope successor to 465/B(465& 465B did not have cursers and very few offered tv sync) And 2245/A. It cost $2000 new circa 1994, but you can now get it for a tiny fraction, working correctly. It is lightweight(8Kg, ideal for field service) Operating instructions can be copied from Tek's website. I will provide power cord. Unit can operate on 115 or 230Vac. First photo shows a 1MHz fast rise square wave expanded to scope's max sweep speed of 2nS/cm to show risetime of about 3nS. Consistent with capability of a 100MHz scope. 2nd photo shows amplitude reading on a known good(my calibrator's) 2Vpp 1KHz positive going signal, note cursers agree, and trig point is at midway between top and bottom. 3rd photo shows 1KHz time marks and cursers measuring a span of 8 tickmarks. 4th photo shows ... morefront of scope. 5th photo shows rear. 6th photo shows right side. 7th photo shows top. 8th photo shows left side. This auction is for Tektronix 2430A oscilloscope with calibration verified on Feb 27.2015. Overall a very nice running scope- only flaws cosmetic in nature. Sold with a new pair of switchable 1X/10X 100MHZ probes. The Tektronix models 2430.2432,and 2440 are the last models where Tektronix published complete service manuals with SCHEMATICS, parts lists and diagnostic flow charts making board repairs possible. The design uses standard ttl dip chips for most of the design with only a few specialized parts. The later TDS models lack complete service manuals so repairs is by changing complete boards. If you decide to buy an older TDS model no longer supported by Tektronix( practically all TDS models you see listing on EBAY aren't supported) you need to buy two. One to use and one for spare parts! Working fine Tek 2465B. Last calibrated(and maintained) Mar 19th 2014. If you need/want fresher calibration. I can take it to ebay seller'2465b' aka Alex Schonfeld. but you'll have to pay $150 more(for his cal fee) but these scopes rarely drift out of cal in just 1 year. Last cal(a year ago) included replacement of fan, screentop label, under-CRT lightbulbs, some electrolytic caps, and lithium battery which resides inside an NVRAM IC. Will include power cord. Instructions on a CD(not pictured) and 2 Tek 100MHz 10:1 probes with readout encoding(shown in third photo) a P6105 and a P6109B(faster probes can be found on ebay, but even 400MHz probes won't show more than 100MHz nicely unless 6" alligator grounding path is shortened. This is a fully functional oscilloscope. With the fine qualities of a Tektronix instrument. It's an old beast. So it has sings of wear and tear, nothing major though, and some obvious performance limitations, but is still alive and working! It has served me for a long time.
