I find not keeping track of hours by plain 2465 to be a serious drawback(you wouldn't want 1 that racked 262000 hours in its 30 years existance by being left on all the time, or even with 66000 hours if it was left on 1/4th the time) Scopes I sell have clocked less than 20000 hours. For 2465A that works out to no more ON than about 1/10th of the time. Another serious drawback of plain 2465 is a no longer made fan. 2465A uses a still available fan, and I do replace them as bearings wear. The only advantage I can think of that plain 2465 had was not needing a Li battery for memory backup. The display and front panel were just replaced with brand-new parts from Teledyne LeCroy. The clear plastic over the display came with the new LCD and we left it on just to protect the new screen until you get your new scope. The tip of the PP007-WR probe is a little bent. One of the plastic fins on the back/bottom of the scope has a chip. The shipping box is slightly shelf-worn. Notes: This scope is in Good ... moreworking condition. I have been repairing electronics equipment at component level for 45 years. I am semi-retired now and enjoy remanufacturing test equipment. Along with anything that comes along broke. The BK 2160 has been one of my favorite Oscilloscopes. This model is quite simple to use, accurate, dependable and many times helped save me hours of repair by using the component test feature. It is outstanding for in circuit testing. Retired I have the time to test every electrolytic capacitor, pn junction, and resistor, replacing any I find out of tolerance range. I clean and inspect all circuit board paths, strip bad textured solder and resolder connections. I then took this scope and went through the calibration procedures twice and used it daily on my bench for several weeks to make sure it is solid. I am comfortable with it being completely serviced ... moreand in perfect working order. The picture of the pn junction is using the compoment tester. This Oscope comes with: Owners manuel. Service/ Parts manuel and Calibration procedure manuel. As in picture it comes with new. Unused set of TP 6100/ 100 meg probes and Tema coiled test leads.
