Tektronix 422 Oscilloscope - Vintage - Powers up & Operates
Tektronix 422 Oscilloscope- Vintage- Powers On and Operates I am not an expert on this type of equipment. And my retired Air Force engineer has left the area. So, I tinkered with this to the best of my ability(which is limited) and here is what I can tell you. It has its power cord and it powers up. I was able to get light across the screen: The Intensity. Focus, Astigmatism, and Scale Illum functions are working. Both Vertical and Horizontal functions operated on the line or lines that I was able to bring up. The Channel knob functions: one line for one channel and two for two channels. The Variable Calibration and Time/DIV knobs were also functioning. The only problem that I kept having was maintaining the lines with HORIZ ATTEN OR LEVEL knob that runs from AUTO to FREE RUN. I had to adjust this knob very gingerly in order to get a line ... moreread on the screen. As far as testing the instrument itself or calibrating it– this is definitely out of my area of expertise. Where is that retired Air Force engineer when I need him? I am certain that if you are looking at this seriously that you already know how to mess with this unit and calibrate it as well. This Oscilloscope comes with its power cord(old school) one probe in picture and the notebook that contains the entire instruction manual. There are two manuals in this notebook. One is to the Oscilloscope and the other one is for the power supply unit that is attached to the Oscilloscope. If you have any other questions about this unit feel free to contact us. With the understanding that we do not know a lot about the testing of this type of equipment. I have sold at least six of these units in the last year, and they did not have issues as far as their functioning. This unit is being sold as is without calibration testing. Tektronix TDS 644A 500 Mhz Oscilloscope. For Parts, Partially Powers Up
Tektronix 500 MHz 4-Channel Digital Oscilloscope FOR PARTS. AS IS. Does not completely boot up. Screen display is dim. When powered on. The oscilloscope cycles through the self test and begins to boot up(you can hear the relays clicking on the attenuator assembly) But toward the end of the boot up process, the display screen freezes with a line at the top(see photo) and the 7-segment display on the processor board alternately flashes the top and bottom left side segments as it would during a normal boot(see picture) Using the Tektronix Service manual. The voltages inside have been checked and are in spec. The capacitors on the aquisition and processor boards have been replaced and the boards cleaned, but the problem remains. Up for Sale is a Tektronix 7503 100MHz 3-Slot Oscilloscope Mainframe! This o-scope is in good to fair physical condition. With marks here and there, and other signs of use. You will notice that the"FOCUS/ INTENSITY" knob is cracked. It still turns, but not very easily. You will probably want to replace this knob. I do not have any plug-ins for it. It powers on and I got a trace"dot" to appear in the center of the screen. But I do not know how to test it beyond that. I am selling it AS IS because of the physical damage to the knob. Because of the size and weight of this o-scope. I cannot ship it overseas(or to Hawaii or Puerto Rico) but I can ship it to Canada.

This scope powers up and I was able to get both traces to show up! That's about all I can do as far as testing this though. So I can only guarantee that it will power up and if you turn the right knobs- you can get both lines on the screen. It does have a lot of scratches& scuffs and a small dent or two but nothing major.
