Cryogenic performance is excellent. And a sealable threaded fixture at the top fill allows vacuum pumping the liquid nitrogen to a temperature of 50K. Volume of liquid vessel is 0.5 liters, which yields 24 hours of typical cold time for LN2. There is space on the cold plate for a“getter” to assist in maintaining the guard vacuum at very low pressures. A fused quartz 1.12” diameter window is installed at a centerline of 0.6” above the cold plate surface.
