This is a 25-page. 8.5" x 11" soft-cover book issued in January, 1987 by JPL(Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA) for NASA(National Aeronautics And Space Administration) This book is titled"To Uranus and Beyond" and is catalog#EP-260. This book comes with the original memo printed for distribution from Lew Allen with the subject line of Voyager Uranus Encounter Brochure and dated February 11, 1987 on"JPL- Office Of The Director" letterhead. This book came from a collection of an engineer who worked for JPL/NASA for the contractor Boeing aparantly during the 1960's. And possibly transitioning to JPL employment up through the 1980's. I have approximately 75 items from this gentleman's collection up in separate auctions this week, incuding photos, slides, RARE in-house newsletters, memos, books, ... moreposters, large photo prints, etc. so please make sure you check them all out. Up for bid is a vintage memorandum book that promotes Justice Carroll C. Boggs for re-election to the Illinois Supreme Court in 1906. It measures 2 5/8 by 4 1/4 inches and features a picture of Justice Boggs on the front. The memo book is in unused condition and has about 40 pages. The two staples are rusty; otherwise. The item is in excellent condition. Justice Boggs was born in 1844 in Fairfield, Illinois. He was educated at McKendree College, where he received his B.A. He served as Wayne County State’s Attorney from 1873 to 1877, Wayne County Judge from 1877 to 1885, Circuit Court Judge for the 2nd judicial circuit from 1885 to 1891 and Appellate Court Judge in the 3rd district from 1891 to 1897. He began his service on the Illinois Supreme Court on June 7, 1897, and remained until June 1906. He served as the Chief Justice from June 1900 ... moreto June 1901. Garfield the Cat Tablet w/His Paw In The Cookie Jar & A Memo Book by Mead
Included are one Garfield tablet with 36 decorated sheets that measure 5 3/4" x 7 7/8" and one Garfield memo book with 60 sheets that measure 3" x 5" The tablet cover& the 36 sheets have Garfield sitting on the countertop with his paw in the cookie jar and the sheets also have faint lines and paw prints across the bottom. The top spiral bound memo book has Garfield laying in a pile of stuff with"Wherever I throw it. That's where it belongs" on the cover and the sheets inside have blue lines. Neither have been used and are in very good condition. The tablet has minimal wear on cover edges; the inside shows no wear at all.
