I am not 100% positive if the pen is original to this case or if it was added at a later time, however, I did recently see a similar item here on eBay that had the exact same pen style, so I assume it may be the original pen. Due to the age of the pen, I am guessing that it is probably nearly out of ink, but there is no way to know that for sure. Unusual Vintage Leather Clutch style billfold purse 1920-30s coin holder notepad
