This is a beautiful antique canvas tapestry. I believe it is a block print. Signed in the lower left corner. A. Cortes, 98" This is not a reproduction, it was in the same family for many generations. It measures 48" by 29" Depicts two lovely ladies, one strumming a harp, 1watching. The detail is amazing. From the pattern in the carpet to the pattern of the wall coverings, it is finely detailed. The ladies' features are lovely. The tapestry is in very good condition. It shows evidence of small tack holes, most noticeable in the corners. Might have been framed at one point. A previous owner machine stitched around the edges to prevent fraying& hand stitched a muslin rod pocket on the back for hanging. There is one small spot of discoloration, show in the photos, near the base of the harp.
