I purchased this unit/Thompson surface grinder, out of a military base that was grinding a precision part used in a missile assembly, As I understand. They used it for approximately 6 months, seeing how extremely accurate the machine was, but lacking computer integration. So they decided to upgrade, and purchased a little bit larger Thompson surface grinder totally integrated CNC surface grinder which I also have or sale. First I purchased the manual machine. Being completely amazed by the precision accuracy of this machine when the other machine total integrated CNC machine came up for sale I purchased ... morethat also. As I understand it the job was outsourced to a large corporation out of Florida so the military no longer needed either of these grinders.Anyone purchasing this grinder, may also, at my discretion, be given the job of grinding produces approximately $3000 twice a month.
