Here for sale is a vintage South Bend Lawn Play croquet set. This set is complete with 6 balls. 6 mallets, 9 wickets, and 2 posts. The set is in excellent condition and I can't see that it has ever been played with. Any wear that it has. Has come from the mallets resting next to each other. The mallets are 24 1/2 inches including the head. The balls are solid wood and are 3 3/8 inches in diameter. This would make a nice addition to your collection and includes a nice set of rules. This does not even show that the post have been put in the ground and the heads put on the post. Does have original box that shows little wear.

This Vintage South Bend No. 400 Anti-Back-Lash Model D Bait Casting Fishing Reel comes with an equally vintage leather storage case& a not quite so old 30-plus-minute promotional VHS video fishing tape on"How You Can Catch Trophy Pike. presented by South Bend& the Outdoor Encounters TV series, featuring series host Debra Johannesson& her Signature Model Trophy Pike Rod. If you purchased the rod, then you got the tape for free. The reel& case likely date to the late 1940s or 1950s, but the tape is from 1995. The tape is highlighted by the catching of lots of big northern pike& some really big trophy pike. I just watched the tape to make sure it was okay, but unfortunately didn't time it. The promotional or advertising portion of the tape is probably no more than 10% to 15% mostly at the start& end of the tape, ... morewhich ran much longer than the listed 30 minutes. Check it out.Here's a classic 2" wide by 2" tall metallic silver galvanized tin/ metal cookie or biscuit cutter from a 1890-1900 Era stove manufcaturing company in South Bend. Indiana-The domed handle reads: Malleable Range South Bend" in 3-D raised lettering on front& has the rouded cookie/ biscuit form intact at the bottom-Item is in very nice condition with the usual wear expected from age and normal use-But looks pretty good for a turn-of-the-century advertising premium! Here's some history on the company from the net: The Malleable Steel Range Manufacturing Company was begun in 1898 by William L. Kizer and Jacob Woolverton at 159 E. Tutt Street. They moved to a location on Cherry Street in 1908. When the large three-story building with a reinforced concrete structural frame and brick curtain walls was completed. ... moreDuring its first 23 years the range company manufactured domestic coal and wood ranges, but in 1921 Jacob Woolverton bought out his partner and expanded into the commercial cooking range field. Being offered is a nice lot of SWARTCHILD& COMPANY BLACK SHIELD MAINSPRINGS. There are approximately 26 boxes that contain or did contain watch mainsprings. There are 5 main types of watch springs in this lot. Hamilton. Illinois, Waltham, South Bend. A couple of the boxes are mpty but there are some of the boxes which are almost full. There is one Hamilton box which has Hamilton O.S. Co's No 1535 No 4372E. which has 9 unopened small labeled envelopes. Nice graphics on each envelope. There is another small sized box with 9 Waltham O's 1907 model 2230.013 mainsprings. There is another smaller sized box which contains 2 10's 1874 Model 2214.022 mainsprings. 2 0's& 3-0'S 1900 model 2228.013& 2 14's 1874 model 2210.022 mainsprings. There are also a handful of Illinois's mainspring in this lot. Vintage Fishing Reels Lot of 5 - South Bend, Garcia - made in USA, France
This is a lot of 5 vintage reels. Some are for parts or repair only. I will describe them in order of the pictures. First is small black reeel with white handles. It has no name that I can find. Seems to operate correctly. A little rusty but ok shape for age. Second is a South Bend Spin Cast no. 1400 model B. Seems to operate correctly, but white handle is broken and pole mount is broken. Third is South Bend no. 550A. All parts seems to be intact and good condition, is hard to spin. Fourth is made in France is a Garcia Mitchell 300. It is a little beat up but functions well, not broken. all parts seem to be there and intact. Fifth is South Bend Oren-O-Matic fly reel in original box. Reel is broken however, one side is not attached, black cap won't stay on. See pictures. Other parts are in good shape, color.
