Mitutoyo 12 inch/300MM dial calipers.A very nice looking set.But unfortunatly they don't work as good as they look.I am in no way an expert on these,but I suspect the gear that works the needle is bad.They open and close kind of hard and make a grinding noise,and the needle will sometimes move a little.I am selling these as is for repair with no returns.I do guarantee them to work as described,but not my diagnosis,it could be something entirely different,like I said I am not an expert and know little about how these work.I think these are well worth repairing,and wish I could do it myself,but I am all thumbs when it comes to taking things like this apart and getting them back together!
