Fowler plastic calipers. I know what you're thinking" plastic caliper? cheap peice of crap" but they are surprisingly accurate. I checked them with my gauge blocks. They have the old owners initials carved in the back of them. They don't slide extremely smooth but it does not affect the function. These are from an old collection of machinist tools. Mitutoyo Dial Caliper 505-677. Caliper has no defects and is in excellent working condition. The wheel glides smoothly across ruler. Both stops set nicely. Caliper needle reads/moves accordingly. The holding/carrying case it sits in has damage to the outer plastic. the larger portions of broken plastic(3 pieces) are inside the case and can be super glued back in place. I have set the largest piece in place in the latter photo to show that it was mostly repairable. Comes with instructions.

Items sold include what is described and pictured. Which from time to time may not include all the accessories included with the items original new purchase package. Our items are used and arrive in our hands with limited accessories. Up for auction is a MITUTOYO NO. 505-677.001" SHOCK PROOF 12" DIAL CALIPER IN CASE W/SLEEVE. PAPERS. Included in the auction is the dial caliper, case, paperwork(only that is shown) cardboard Mitutoyo sleeve only, exactly as shown in the photos provided. This caliper appears to be in good used functional condition, it looks great cosmetically as well, with only some very minimal signs of wear& tear from previous usage. Because of how nice this caliper looks I do not think that it has been used much in the past, appears to have been very well taken care of& stored in the case(I do not see any ... moreoriginal owner engravings either) The case& sleeve do however have some scuffs/scratches/stains on them, but will still protect the caliper as intended. There is a sticker on the back of the caliper showing that it is not due for calibration again until 11/29/13, though we purchased this item 2nd hand& do not know how accurate that sticker is.
