It is in good working condition and comes with 2 power cords. 1 for charging and 1 for operating) 3 batteries(2 hold charge and 1 does not hold a charge) and the operating manual. This gage has about 656 mm travel from top to bottom and can be either English or metric. It has a simple height gage setting and 3 other programs which do various functions but to do the programs, you will need an electronic stylus. I will send a tesa electronic stylus with this gage but it has the wrong connector on it and must be changed to use. the tesa stylus is not pictured and not guaranteed as it is a bonus because it is not the original one) This is a good gage which needs cleaning but will serve you well. In 1833 David Sharpe and his son Joseph and J.R. Brown started the famous machine company. In 1853. Lucian Sharpe joined to make it the Brown& Sharpe Mfg. Co. They made cotton machinery and clocks etc. and this micrometer. They both went to the Paris Exposition in 1867 and were inspired to make micrometers. Etc. and now make several hundred different styles and sizes. This item is an old Brown and Sharpe Micrometer Caliper. It was made with hardened tool steel. It enabled the user to measure by the thousandth of an inch from 0" to 1" This one has the cut out frame. I'm not sure of the age of these. But a like micrometer originally sold for around $11.00 in 1938 and now, new, sell for $179-$250. Again, these are some of the best precision micrometers used by craftsmen all over the world. The micrometer is in good condition ... moreand is about 4 1/2" long The finger calibrating end is slightly broken at the end. It is used. So there is some patina, all seen in my pictures. I am not a vintage tool expert but the research that I have done seems to indicate that this is a collet set with sizes from 1/8" to 1/2" There are also 2 wrenches and a large piece in the middle ~ not sure what that is. I'm hoping that some of you expert tool guys will write and tell me exactly what I have! All this is encased in a very nice wood-engraved box. From what I can tell.
