I cannot tell you much about these micrometers, other than they are extremely clean for it's age(as you can see in pictures) The first micrometer is a Van Norman& L.S.Starrett Co.Boring Bar Micrometer 7685. This is an inch micrometer with steel faces and a smooth movement. However the friction stop is a bit harder than the others to turn. It will still definitely turn freely, but my guess is that a bit of cosmoline found its way into the thimble. This micrometer reads 2.600-5.300" on the stalk and.000-050" on the thimble. The second micrometer is a Van Norman& L.S.Starrett Co.METRIC Boring Bar Micrometer 10304. This is a smaller micrometer. Has steel faces, a smooth movement, and a functioning friction thimble.
