Here we have(64) neodymium magnets pulled from hard drives. The magnets range from 15mm to 35mm long. 8mm to 18mm tall and 2mm to 4mm thick. However they do not have the steel support plates that usually accompany them. They have been removed so the magnets are much more useful for whatever you intend to use them for(super strong refrigerator magnets, Magnetic brakes, Power generation, Science project, magnet sculptures, removing black sand) There is no adhesive left on the magnets and there is minor blistering from being pulled off(they are not pulled off mechanically nor are the support plates bent during removal) There are some minor scratches from them being handled and removed from their backing plates. The magnet has the following measurements, approximate length 1” approximate width 7/8” approximate height 3/16” The magnet is made from black ceramic material with a hole in the exact middle for a gray metal top that goes over the front and rear of the magnet which is pop riveted to the magnet. The gray metal top has some rust spots on it on the top, front, and rear, the rust is only surface rust, there is no rust pitting or rust holes, and there is some dirt on the bottom or inside sides on the front and rear between the metal and the magnet, otherwise the gray metal has no cracks, nicks, scratches, marks, dust, or discoloration, the gray metal is in overall good condition. The pop rivet on the top of the gray metal has a black rectangular plastic piece between the pop rivet and the gray metal. This is a rare find for most people since most people who have them don't sell them. I designed and buildt this magnetic pulse motor designed to run off the gauss of these super stong magnets. There is a cylinder in the center of the motor that is the main drive shaft.It has 4 magnets all showing their positive side all are equal space from each other. Their is room for 4 more magnets on this cylinder that were all showing their negative side. On the back of the drive shaft is a six inch nylon gear that keeps the magnets all in time. There is a allen wrench adjustment that tightens the gear to each of the shafts to position the magnets in time. There are 4 more smaller shafts all positions around the larger drive shaft each one is holding two magnets but have room for four magnets on each. These smaller shafts are all connected to the ... morelarger drive shaft by a two inch nylon gear. Each one is positioned at a slight difference in timing from the other so as to affect the timing in different stages of push and full. These are all in the positve side of these magnets are showing their positive side out. All the magnets that have been taken off are here. Plus a few extra.The shafts are all set into permanant bearings. There are 25 magnets each of a NdFeB grade 52 each one is 1/2" Thick X 1" Wide X 2" Long these are extremely strong and can hurt you if you dont handle them properly. If they attach to each other you will need help to remove they have a pull force of about 275 pounds each. I found that sliding them out to the ends away from them other helps, and I wear leather gloves when handling. This motor was first put together in 1998 and ran at about 600 rpm and with about 35 horse power. I have been disabled from work for a little over two years. Now my wife has lost her job so something has to go. The motor is not running right now, but I will include diagrams and timing instructions as well any viable ifo needed on the motor. They can have many different uses and are also sought after due to their properties: Nickel plated neodymium magnet on a bracket from a hard drive. A neodymium magnet(also known as NdFeB. NIB or Neo magnet) the most widely used type of rare-earth magnet, is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of neodymium. Iron and boron to form the Nd2Fe14B tetragonal crystalline structure. rare earth magnets very strange super strong magnets 1lb 4oz each
These are two of the strangest magnets i've ever seen. each weights 1lb 4oz is 1" thick 3" diameter each has 3 threaded holes drilled into them. And a hole in the middle. now for the strange part. The magnets don't have that strong a pull, unless you put something on the center of the magnet with the 3 threaded holes in it. then it's really hard to pull whatever is stuck on there off. If you stick them together, pulling them apart is a challenge using the slide and twist method. trying to pull apart with my hands is impossible if i pull straight out. They are very strong, but only under what seems to be pretty specific conditions. again super weird margets. I'm going to start these off at $5.00 good luck
