These are battery powered( which as the boss I prefer since I dont have to worry about the staff forgetting to charge them at the end of the night) They take 1 AA battery. The battery life is approx 2-3 months on each pager. The range of the signal is excellent. It will work in the entire building that I manage including the basement or parking lot. These pagers are used. So they do have a few marks etc on them, but they work 100% These pagers can either beep. Or vibrate depending on the sertting that you choose.
