Stanley No. 78 Duplex Rabbet and Fillester Plane. Extremely Nice! Great User!
Here is extremely nice and useable example of a Stanley number 78 duplex rabbet and fillester plane. The original japanning is about 99 percent on the body. Fence, stop, and cap. I wiped the dirt off this one for the pictures, but other than that it is how I found it. It was coated with oil and dust which preserved it perfectly. The body is in great shape with no damage or rust and very clean. The mouth is good as shown. The cutter is nice and shiny and full length. It has the Stanley notched corner logo on it. All parts are present and everything works as it should. The nickel plated parts retain their nickel as they should. It looks great! This would make a great user plane. This is a very well made version that has been taken care of. The cutter has plenty of life left and the plane is solid. Sharpen the cutter and nicker and put this ... moreone back to work or add it to your plane collection. Either way I think you would like this one. These do well at making rabbets. As always, take a look at the pictures. I try my best to show everything, so you know exactly what you are getting. That is important to me. I buy here also and I know the feeling when something finally arrives and it is not what you thought. Antique Victorian Duplex Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Electric Original Globes
Hi. You are bidding on the most beautiful lamp. It is a Duplex student oil lamp that was converted to electric. You can see by the cord and plug that it is one of the oldest electric lamps you will ever see. It has been tested and did work when I bought it but the cord is super old. I would get a second opinion before you use the cord. The globes are LOVELY and even more beautiful in person. They are in good condition with no nicks or cracks. The globes measure approximately ten inches across at the bottom and 4.5 inches or so on the top. The entire lamp is 27 inches when measured from base to top of chimneys. I believe the chimneys are also original in that they look like old glass and they are the exact measurements of the original chimneys. One of the chimneys has some roughness around the base where it goes into the metal but it is not ... morechipped. If you collect these antique lamps. I think you are going to love this one. There are problems, but minimal. I see that there is one lamp socket that is sort of tipped to one side. There is some difficulty getting the round base for the chimney into the larger frame for the glass globe. But I think that all of these issues are probably just a part of owning a lamp like this. This is a vintage Kueffel& Esser Co(copyright in 1947) Log Log Duplex Decitric slider ruler in good condition. The slider ruler itself is in good shape but has discolored to a yellowish/light brown color. The metal peice show little to no wear. The slider piece is in good shape and it slides easily as does the middle piece of the ruler. There is a name engraved on the slide ruler as shown in the second picture. The case however has seen better days as both ends are missing but it does cover the slide ruler for protection from further damage. An ornate 12” round cast iron filigree heat register/ thermometer with a fitted hot water bottle. The thermometer plate is marked POWERS DUPLEX REGULATOR CO CHICAGO ILL’ and‘blood temp– temperate– freezing’ The register is in good age appropriate condition and retains much of the original copper flash decoration. The soldered brass water bottle has a few minor dings. It’s stamped PAT DEC 10 89, sadly it’s missing it’s cap. While the water bottle is of some interest, the grate can be used without it on a wall or ceiling with the thermometer registering the temperature at the grate. The Powers Duplex Co. made ingenious stove regulators, this appears to be one of their rarer products. Please ask any questions prior to entering a bid.
