Tested and working fine. Came out of a single D2 with a bad cabinet. As you see it needs new foam surround. No dents in dust cap. I did clean the old foam so you are ready for new. My return policy needs to change on this driver. Returns will be honored only if you have not attempted to do the refoam. Up for sale an extremely rare set of Cerwin Vega MX-400 Speakers. These speakers were manufactured specifically for the military in the early 90's and were not seen much in the states. They were made very heavy duty to take a beating. And very solid to hold up. They were basically made the same as the D-9s and DX-9s but more solidly built to hold up while being shipped and lugged around in the military. Most of these speakers did not make it back to the states and there are few and far between left of these. Bb Sousaphone by Odell Band Instruments. The Vega Company. Serial Number P17688. Vega was a rather well-regarded instrument maker. The serial number on this sousaphone might put it around 1910, though I really don't know for sure. I could be completely wrong! The horn is in pretty good shape. The worst dent is in the bell and easily accessible for removal. The small tubing is in very good shape in terms if being dent free, though there are some dents on the large tubing, all shown in the photos. The valves show some corrosion but are very responsive and do not stick. There is a resolder around the collar of the bell, and a resolder is needed between a small brace and the mouthpiece pipe. MPC included. There is no case. Local pickup can be arranged. The horn would look great with some polishing- you can see where I cleaned up around the ... morebrand name. I inherited this instrument from my great uncle. Who bought it in New York City in 1911. He and I were the only owners. I am an empty-nester and am eager to downsize and minimize! I offer this banjo/mandolin to a banjo enthusiast and hope it falls into loving hands. The serial number stamped inside the rim is 27457- as it is on the dowel. The model is Tu-ba-phone. There is a signature on the back of the body(on the calfskin) but it is hard to read. The color trim of the banjo and back of the neck is a natural maple. There is a narrow inner strip on the rim that is tortoise-shell. It is really in good condition- all pieces are factory original. There have been no repairs that I'm aware of. There is a flowery engraved silver plate on the back of the head. All nickel plating is very clean. Very shiny. The neck is slightly overbowed. But ... moremay improve with new strings. The worst wear is on the first three frets from the first two pairs of strings. The strings are really old(one is missing) and I have not had it tuned to pitch. Will need new strings. The calfskin body has just natural wear. The case is a hard wooden case and is fairly worn- some of the black coating has rubbed off.

1930 Vega Soloist Plectrum Banjo, nice original condition with case
Up for consideration is a 1930 Vega Soloist Plectrum Banjo. This is an original extra nice example. I purchased this from the family of the original owner. It has been stored in the closet for the last 40 or so years. When I got it the original skin head had split while in storage so I installed an new plastic head and bridge. Other than that this is all original. The soloist model lies inbetween the Professional and the Artist in the Vega Catalog. It the fancy headstock inlay and back strap. The neck inlays are simple compared to the Artist. The heel is carved and the parts that show are gold plated. The tone ring and bracket band as well as the nuts are all nickel plated because they are hidden when the resonator in place. The neck is straight with only minor fret wear. The tuners are the original Grover Gold Plated Patent models. The tailpiece ... moreis the original Grover Gold Plated with"Soloist" engraved on the tail. This is a very clean straight 83 year old banjo. It plays great with low string action. There is normal finish wear as would be expected but there are no cracks or repairs. The serial numbers match on the rim and dowel stick. The plating shows wear but it is original and still in nice shape. The case is original with no mold. Mildew or smoke odors. Also included is the original Vega"Care of Your Instrument" pamphlet. This banjo is returnable for any reason you are unhappy with it for a refund of Bid Price Only. All shipping both ways is not refundable. If you are looking for an old Vega Plectrum to play or for a collection, this is a very nice example. This is something I stumbled upon in the workshop while I was looking for a part that fell off the workbench.Been in the shop for decades and looks like it came off a damaged mahogany Vega neck cause there is some trace of the mahogany visible(style F or style N most likely) measures about 2 1/8" long and about 1 1/4" at the widest point. But it is going out of fashion year by year while here in shinano, one can still see the curious dolls suspended in the air under the pent roof. They are called as"Kawakoshi" dolls which means that the star altair meets the star vega once a year, crossing the milky way(amanogawa meaning the celestial river) the dolls were originally made of wood and clothed but instead of them, paper dolls are used recently" This is one of a set of Japanese prints that came from an estate in Texas. There was a book in this estate that had print. Festival of Kosuge Shrine on the cover. Unfortunately. I missed getting the book. I do not know the artist ... moreof the print but each print had a title and a description typed on rice paper that was with it. Probably the descriptions came from book. I believe they are from the mid 1940's. All prints are in excellent condition with some yellowing. Vintage 1925 Vega banjo N style tenor no knot tailpiece
hi there, Up for auction here is a rare vintage VEGA style N tenor banjo. This is a 4 string banjo. Made by the Vega Company between 1922-1930. It has matching serial numbers on the dowel stick and the wood pot. The serial number is 85290. A few of the metal brackets are slightly mis-shapen/need adjustment.and a few of the bolts have been replaced.i think about 5 nut(bolts? are not original The head has been replaced with a REMO head. The bridge is not original. As its meant for a 5 string instrument. New strings have been put on it. The tuners are original and the tailpiece is original. The banjo features a dark rosewood( neck inlaid with mother of pearl fret markers. The neck shows normal play wear and has a slight blemish at the first fret. The neck is relatively straight from what I can tell. With a very slight curvature.
