This precision instrument tests pressure in pounds per square inch. It looks to be mostly made of brass and seems to be complete. It measures up to 300 lbs. per square inch. I assume this was used for steam boilers but probably could be put to other applications too. Someone put a piece of cotton under the glass to protect the needle from moving during storage. Up for auction at no reserve is a Vintage 5" USG Test Pressure Gauge that measures up to 160 PSI. It is also marked with"1 subd. This item would look great with any steampunk designs or projects. The item is used. But I have no way of testing it. There are no big dents, scratches, etc, except for the chips of black paint referenced in the condition description. The face looks like it is in great shape with little to no scratches on the face. I believe it is made of brass. There is a sticker on the back that says"Date Tested 3/11/79 Mueller.
