This is a very rare antique solid cast iron Art Deco thermometer temperature gauge. it is a very ornate piece and made from thick heavy cast iron. It has a beautiful bronze backplate where the numbers are nicely pressed. both metals have a wonderful patina from age. on the side it also says water boils and has the temp when the water will boil. the temps range from 80 to 260 degrees and works great, it has a very ornate top and a threaded bottom. the thermometer id made of glass with a mercury inside. it measures 11 inches long by 2 3/4 inches wide in nice antique condition. The brass case measures 4 3/8" in diameter and the face or dial measures close to 3" in diameter. The thickness of the gauge is 2" and the weight is 2 lbs. 10 oz. The Ashton Valve Co. of Boston appears as a small mark in the bottom of the dial and is thought to be the maker.

This is a 3D Instruments DTG-6000 Digital Test Gauge. This unit has a working pressure of 300psi(perhaps more? It has the same exact design as the Crystal Engineering Digital Test Gauges. But is branded 3D Instruments(Direct Drive Difference) Gauge is in good physical condition with minor scuffs. Marks and wear from usage and storage. The rim of the gauge can be turned counter-clockwise to open it and access the battery compartment. The unit operates off of three standard AA batteries(included) The unit powers on. Although at startup it displays the following message line-by-line"do not ship 300(psi) I reached out to tech support and they do not have an answer for this error message either. The 3D Instruments corporation no longer supplies parts/repair for this meter since it is discontinued. Regardless of the startup message. I tested ... morethe meter out and I had no problems getting readings up to 125psi(which is as high as my compressor goes) Pressing the peak button will show highest& lowest pressure recorded in the session. Antique Crosby Large 9 1/5" DIA Brass Pressure Gauge US Navy Test Gage Large
Here's something you don't see often. This is a Test gauge that I believe came out of the sub base at Groton. CT though I have no provenance on this one. One of the other cases had sima Groton, CT on it but this one doesn't. I had four and this is the last one I have for sale. It has a leather case that the seams are coming loose on. This gauge is carried to the vessels and used to calibrate the other gauges on board. It is extremely precise and rugged. It will polish up absolutely amazing.
