WW2 P-51 Mustang Carb Air Temperature Gauge Instrument Indicator
This is an original WW 2 Carburator air temperature gauge instrument as used in the famous P-51 Mustang USAAF Fighter. This gauge is in very good used condition. This gauge provided the pilot with the temperature of the air going into the carburator. This instrument is sold as is and may not work but it appears to be okay. The North American P-51 Mustang is the most popular fighter aircraft of WW 2.The Mustang had the ability to protect the bombers for a much longer range than any previous fighter. Today there are over 200 P-51 Mustangs still flying. This gauge is being sold as is. It has not been tested and may not work. -40 to 180F Temperature Gauge with Integral Sensor, Weksler, USA. Good Condition
Up for auction is a stainless steel industrial temperature indicator with a 3” diameter dial. Integral 2” long sensor, and a range of-40 to 180F. The instrument was made by Weksler of Freeport, N.Y. with part number B3S2-F/ 6685-00-782-5230. As can be seen in picture number two, I immersed the gauge in a mug of iced water giving a reading of 36F, while in picture number three I immersed it in a mug of warm water giving a reading of 152F. This item has been used but is in good functioning condition, although the threaded nut may need a little cleaning up and there are some minor scratches on the glass(plastic) I have no idea what the thread size is but it looks to be an extremely fine thread to me and the outside diameter of the thread is exactly ¾” if that helps.

The instrument reads from 0 to 120 degrees. It appears to be dated 1957 on the face and the RAF part number is 6A/6617 Amongst other aircraft i have been told it was fitted to the Vulcan Bomber. There is quite a lot of what looks like aluminum dust inside the face of the instrument but it is loose and its probably quite easy to take the face off and clean it. Up for sale is a vintage 1960's freshwater fishing temperature gauge made by Ray Jefferson of Philadelphia PA. This was from an estate sale in southern Nj. This neat little piece takes a single 9 volt battery to make it work. I did this and it WORKS! The wire with weight and temperature mechanism gets dropped into the water and you read the temp and on scale and match the fish to correct temperature. This is a great piece of fishing history. Used but in great working condition! The O'Donnell TGX1 is a compact temperature gauge and stopwatch. You are looking at a temp gauge and a stopwatch in one unit. The temp gauge is the infrared variety. And measures to within 1 10th of a degree. It features Fahrenheit or Celsius readings, adjustable emissivity, a 1 second response time, and a range of-27* to +428* The temp gauge has a 1:1 optics, which basically means that it reads an area of 1 inch from a distance of 1 inch. The stopwatch measures to within 1 100th of a second. The TGX1 is 85mm tall x 48mm wide x 23mm thick, weighs 43.6 grams(1.53 ounces) and has a backlit 22mm x 14mm screen.

VINTAGE Brass Temperature Gauge in Working Condition by HONEYWELL
This gauge is from my grandfather's workshop. It does work. As it registered the temperature change when I held it in my hand, but I cannot warranty its accuracy. The face is covered with glass and the casing and probe are brass. It looks to be in very good condition without scratches, dents or chips. There is a small spot of some sort of residue on the case. It has a base with screw holes for mounting. There is old masking tape around the cord which I did not attempt to remove to measure its length(see photo) All printing is completely readable without any signs of wear. It measures 3-3/4" across and the probe is 4-1/2" in length. Overall, this is a very nice instrument. Thanks for looking!
