A rare and superb Persian Bakhtiari hand woven in central Iran. Bakhtiari tribe is mainly a nomadic tribe that migrates from central Iran westward and back. Through the years. In order to cope with droughts and lack of grass for their sheep herds, they settled some of the tribe in the villages near Isfahan. While Bakhtiari always wove very geometric and primitive pieces, in time the designs from nearby city influenced their weavings and the birth of medallion and corner design in Bakhtiari weavings. In addition, with the exception of 19th century Serapi rugs, Bakhtiari rugs are the only village rugs that at very rare occasions have been found in very large sizes. It is even more rare to find a very large that is square. This grand and great rug is created in the colors of rust, red, blues, charcoal, brown, gray, gold, pink and cream. This offering is for a square covered serving dish with 2 handles. It measures 7-1/4 inches square and 5 inches high including the lid. It is marked with the Johnson Brothers mark as noted in picture#7. This piece was bought at an estate auction. It has been touched up by the previous owner. There is a hairline as noted in pictures#4 and#6. Picture#5 shows 2 areas on the lid where white-colored coverup was placed over glaze chips. There is crazing under the glaze on the top of the lid close to the handle. The inside of the dish has some discolored dots. Zoom picture#2 for more details. This auction is for a great retro 16 pc. set of Hazel Atlas Avocado Green Glass Tumblers from the 1960's era in the Colony Square Base pattern. Great for every day use or to add to your barware. The 8 larger glasses hold 10 ounces each and measure 5” high. The 8 smaller glasses hold 6 ounces each and measure 3-1/4” high. Both sizes measure 3-1/4” across the top and are nice and wide to allow for easy cleaning. These glasses look like they have been barely used– beautifully clear and shiny. However there is one tiny flea bite right on the corner of the base of one of the larger glasses. I have photographed it from the bottom where it is slightly visible and can be felt. I have also photographed it while sitting flat in the position normally used and it is not visible at all. I have included this slight defect in the description and photos ... morefor accuracy. Hi! I have an Unusual Vintage Wall Hanging Picture in a Wood Frame. It's a City Square with People dressed in Victorian Era Clothes. I'm not sure of the medium or the material it's done on. It looks like some type of a hard. Translucent plastic. There are numbers 1.2,3 near some of the buildings. It has a touch of color and looks neat when put up to the light. It has wonderful color. The pedestal is a smooth clean substantial base with the pattern reflected in two of the sides. The top round and square rims are smooth with no discernable chips. Underneath the round overlaping rim there are some chips. Only one area of chips can be seen from the side view but none can be seen from the top view. Difficult to see in the photos. Campagnolo Centaur Compact Crankset 175mm 50/30 silver square taper NOS gorgeous
175mm Campagnolo Centaur Square taper compact 110mm bolt circle 50/34 chainrings. We love these cranks! We just found the last stash left in America we believe. Many riders prefer a crank that uses a square taper bottom bracket as modern bottom brackets do not appear to be nearly as reliable as the very best square taper units(we like the SKF units for example) This crank has a nice Q factor(somewhere around 145 to 148 depending on bb used) and the finish is fantastic! We had some similar Veloce cranks awhile back(we sold all those) but the chainrings on these are a good bit nicer- look at them! Even the chainring bolts are of super snazy quality. Note that fancy TA cranks. Or the Rene Herse, or modern Campy cranks can cost crazy amounts. This crank gets the job done with wonderful precision, looks great, and with the 110mm bolt circle is ... moreeasy to care and feed. The rings are 10sp compatible, but you should be able to use anything from 7 to 9 speed as well(or even ultra 6 speed we figure) We have a small quantity of these. But not many. We're sure they will be gone before long. The crank you get will look just like the one in the photos, but will probably not be the same one. Your crank will be factory fresh brand new and mightly awesome looking! The crank is designed for a 111mm ISO bb spindle. The bb is not included.
