Some scuff marks on the glass face but no chips or cracks. I can hear something very small move around in there when I pick it up. Could be just dirt. Here is an old Ashcroft gauge. The face reads BUSHNELL PUMP CO. BUSHNELL. ILL. THE ASHCROFT MFG. CO. NEW YORK. The gauge runs from 0-200 and has the crescent shape on the needle. This has a brass ring with metal back. The brass ring measures about 5 1/4" and the back is about 5 7/8" wide. This is about 2 1/8" thick. This is a large, heavy, old gauge with a neat look! This is used. Please assume this may not work; the needle is at zero. But the gauge is old and untested. There are scratches and paint loss. The back plate is rusty. The glass has some scratches. I think 2 are pressure gauges and one is out of a old car and it was the temperature gauge. I would say non functional for display uses only but who knows about the big one. It is about 4 1/2" across- marked 1/4 lb SUBD. Ashcroft usa. It has some rust on the place around screw. Casing appears to be cast aluminum. Heavy. Weighs about 2 lbs! It has"gas pump" penciled in on the face of it. Medium size one says: H.O. company Detroit. Mich. U.S.A. Temperature gauge has heavy rust. Rust hole and the needle is floating around in there. Antique Ashcroft 8" Chrome Steam Pressure Industrial Gauge
Great vintage steam pressure gauge made by Ashcroft in New York. This one is 8" in diameter and was chromed at one point. Much of that has come off but it still shines in some areas and looks great under light. There looks to be more modern fittings at the connector. Not sure on the exact date range but I took a picture of the serial number so it could be looked up. Revision: I believe it was nickel plated rather than chromed.
