2 Vintage Antique Heavy Ashcroft New York Gauge's
For auction are two vintage Ashcroft New York Gauge's. One of them says on the white inside. Utica Heater Co. Utica N.Y. Chicago Ill. Retard Reg. U.S. Pat Off, The Ashcroft Mfg. Co. New York. Reg U.S. Pat. Off, Pat. Dec 20 1910, July 4 1916 Patents Pending. This one has the glass cover missing. Measures about 6& 1/4" across. The other one reads The Ashcroft Mfg. Co. New York. Reg U.S. Pat. Off. It has a brass ring around the glass the rest is cast iron. It still has some type of valve hooked with it. It measures 4& 1/4" across in the front and 4& 3/4" across in the back. I have no idea if the work, they look like they would if hooked up. Overall considering the age I would say that there in good condition but you check the pictures and decide that. Antique Reclaimed Machine Age Industrial Ashcroft Gauge Brass Steampunk Train
Here we have a great Ashcroft gauge that has a cool cast iron bulbus pipe connected to it. As you can see from the photos there is some black paint on it but it should be able to be cleaned off if desired. I haven't done so as I don't want to ruin the patina or finish on the gauge if someone would rather it was there. This gauge is about 5 1/4 inches in diameter. This antique Altitude gauge. Measures approximately 6" in diameter, and weighs 2.8 lbs. On the face of this gauge, is, THE ASHCROFT MFG. CO/ NEW YORK/ REG US PAT OFF/ ALTITUDE/ 37331-001" This gauge appears to have an iron housing, with a brass stem/ rim. The glass is missing from the face of this gauge. I am not sure of the age of this gauge, but I would guess early 1900's. I doubt that this gauge would be functional after all this time. Also, on the front it says UNITED STATES SUPPLY CO, OMAHA NE. The gauge has Not been tested. Being sold AS IS. The top measures 6" and is 6 3/4" across on the back and is 21/8 thick. The scale is 0-300 with 1 pound increments, a feature only found on the early gauges. Early Ashcroft circus style lettering graces the face and the serial number is a low 4 digit: 2415.
