My guess is this very nice solid wood case was original meant for the larger set 021 to 029. And someone combined the smaller set 011 to 018. You get four additional straight probes. As you can see from the picture someone put some old foam stuff in the box to keep the probes and set rings from rattling around. Box needs to be cleaned up just a bit. Diatest Split Anvil Bore Gage Set .057" - .394"
These are really two gages in one set. All the needles. Anvils and setting rings are absolutely mint. Nothing is missing. Between the two, they are superbly accurate for"split tenths" accuracy for the most critical of applications. The indicators do not have the Diatest name, but they appear to be the ones that Diatest uses, as Sunnen uses Federal indicators for their gages. The small indicator has a bit of grime, but everything else is in fantastic condition, and the large indicator appears unused. So if you need absolutely dead-on small bore gaging, this set will fit the bill perfectly. No disappointments here. I will be happy to add pictures and answer questions. There appears to be two missing set rings 021& 039. As you can see from the pictures there are two gauges. One says DIATEST made in Germany Typ 01z(0001" and the other one says DIATEST made in Germany Typ 1m(001mm) Has a couple wrenches for tightening and 4 needle probes. The set has two tool attachment extensions. One says DIATEST and the other has nothing on it. I could not find an associated model number for this set. Up for sale is a Diatest FB split anvil bore gauge set in good used condition. The set is not complete but the bulk of it is still there. The missing pieces are as follows: Ring gages 22. 24, and 24 Split anvil gauge 21 Threaded attachment for indicator The indicator looks good but does have a few scuffs on the dial. Included with it is a second indicator bezel to mark a second spot for inspection The case looks good with no damage at the joints. The case was engraved with a previous owners department and some tape residue that should come off/sand out if it bothers you.
