Up for sale is this The New Britain Machine Co.Blackhawk Gauge Set in Original Box. This set in box measures 2" tall and 7" wide and 5" deep. The New Britain Machine Co. was the main supplier for NAPA tools until it's closure in 1990. As well as Craftsman, Matco and Mac Tools. New Britain also owned Husky and Blackhawk Tools. The case has some significant signs of wear like some tearing in the plastic coating of the case-some exposing some of the metal connecting pieces beneath with some surface rusting on those surfaces. The corner of the box has been smashed but the box is still holding together(see pictures) The tools seem to be in good condition with some oxidation on the needle and a brass fitting. And the tools, though quickly cleaned, could use a deeper clean to get off remnants of the foam insert that had deteriorated ... morewith age and was recently removed. The gauge is jeweled and numbered"no. 1.We cannot tell if the tool is working properly due to the fact we do not have anything to test it with. Nothing appears to be broken cracked, bent, chipped, or missing. The items where taken care of well with what appears to be some cosmic wear are'USED' But over all very acceptable. The items are Genuine Authentic Vintage Superior Valve& Fitting CO. Pittsburgh P.A. Gauge w/3 Yellow Jacket Hoses. Comes with everything seen in photo's, the items appear to be complete looks to be in exceptional condition. Both Gauges are R-22/R-12 5808-3& 5806-3, both gauges are Superior Valve& CO. Pittsburgh P.A, both valve knobs turn very well, both gauges have nice un-cracked glass faces, none of the hoses have any cracks, splits, rips, or bubbles in them, none ... moreof the 3 port connections on bottom of gauge do not appear to be clogged and have good threads, and all of the other gauge valve assembly does bot have any cracks, dents, splits, or does not appear to have been fixed in any kind of way is in great shape. I do apologize if i am incorrect about any of the information i have given in description, i am not a expert and describe from what i see and the research that i do on the items. It appears to be in good shape, but I would not advise using it because of its age. This is an awesome decor item for vintage car and motorcycle collectors!
