You are bidding on a used Sigma 170-500mm F5-6.3 AF APO DG Zoom Lens for the Nikon mount. This is the DG version which is optimized for digital cameras. Most of these items listed for sale on this auction site are the standard APO version. Look carefully after the APO lettering and there should be the letters DG. The older APO version has a shiny black appearance vs. the matte finish of the newer DG version. The DG version offers superior performance over the standard APO version due to improvements in lens coatings. This lens is usable on both FX and DX cameras. This lens is in good condition with some signs of use and a few scuffs on the hood. The glass is clean except for a few dust specks inside and looks to be fungus free. It does suffer from some zoom creep when pointed directly upward or downward which is common for this lens due to ... morethe heavy lens barrel. Note! On Mar-03-13 at 10:48:17 PST. Seller added the following information: Rarely used. In excellent condition. Almost new. No dust. Fungus, and the lens is scratch free and crystal clear! There is no issue with focusing, I never did any micro adjustments on the lense. It is in perfect working condition I'm the original owner and right out of the box I installed a HOYA HMC UV(c) 77mm filter. It was used sparingly. Also. I would like to ammend the description. There is 1 very small abbrasion that is barely noticable- I missed it sorry. Using a magnfying glass I also notice some 2 very very small abbrasions that were probably due to the lens hoods. Used Sigma 50-500/4.5-6.3 Lens for Canon
We have a used Sigma 50-500 Lens. There is no broken glass or anything. But attempting to take a picture a communications error occurs between the camera and the lens. It tells you that the lens contacts should be cleaned. Also. The lens is in a"fixed" position, as it will not zoom in and out. It is locked at 50mm. Moving the button on the side of the lens to"unlock" and zoom out does not work. A camera repair shop or someone with good technical expertise would probably be able to fix this. I do see a few loose strings here and there. I recently ran across a big lot of patches that had a few fraternities that are defunct as of the late 1950's, so I'm betting these are easily from the 1950's or possibly earlier. Auction includes a complete kit with camera, Sigma finder, lenhood adapter/lenshood, Sigma flash, battery charger and 3 batteries(1 Sigma, 2 OE) I seem to have run out of AC cords for the charger, it takes a standard AC cord. Everything works fine and image output is outstanding. The Foveon sensor is capable of image detail and tonal transitions not seen with standard Bayer-pattern sensors. There's an awful lot of image goodness stuffed into a very small package. There are few signs of use. Camera was used carefully. Close examination will find a few small useage marks, but the camera is very clean and presents very well. Please look over the photos and supersize them for details. It is fast and snappy and shows no wear or oil on the blades. The aperture range is 32 to 5.6 with every stop crisp and positive. There is also an"A" position to lock the ring for use on program bodies. The metal bayonet and mount surface looks and works perfect locking up tight and straight on the camera body with perfect latch and release functions. Internal Focusing is snug and silky smooth throughout the focus range. The lens barrel and filter ring do not move with focusing making it perfect for using Cokin style frames and filters.
