Tycos Anemometer Velocity Gauge. Vintage item for parts or restore. As with most items I sell. This is part of a liquidation from a local estate. Please help me out by closely reviewing the pics to best judge what you are bidding on. Description: Tycos Velocity gauge. I have included a short video following this description. Please scroll down take a look. 4.25" diameter. 1.75" deep. The gauge housing is made on a non magnetic type metal, possibly a painted aluminum. The painted finish is blotchy/discolored throughout with several areas of total paint loss. The dial and crystal is approximately 1.75" diameter. It has a white dusty residue between the dial and crystal. The outer surface of the crystal has a crude looking rippled/uneven surface and several small indentations. The chronograph type dial will read/provide velocity ... morein feet. Thousands, hundreds, and tenths. The thousands reading/dial will not reset to zero, so this aspect of the gauge may not be working correctly. The entire gauge has a heavy dark patina. FOR SALE today is a KURZ Series 4440 Digital Air Flow Meter with Anemometer. This is surplus military hardware and the last time it was calibrated was 1995. This is in excellent condition and I doubt whether this was ever used at all in the field. I will describe it to the best of my ability. Please ask all questions before purchase. The meter box is excellent with no damage or signs of use/abuse. The wires are clean and all switches appear to function. There is a Panasonic 12 volt rechargeable battery included condition unknown. It comes with a carry pouch, and shoulder strap. There is a battery charger and adapter. The wand is 4.5 feet long and is in 3 sections, the sensor tip is fine and appears as new. Both cords for the charger and the anemometer are still wrapped in twisty ties and are clean and new…they do not appear to have been used ... moreat all. This anemometer has been carefully used in an engineer lab environment. Had little use over the last 5 years, and always stored in a supply cabinet when not in use. It was last calibrated at TSI in 2009. This transducer allows the output to be configured for 0-5v. 0-10v, or 4-20ma, with offset, span, and time constant adjustment. There are a number of selectable full scale velocity ranges from 0-1m/s(200fpm) to 50m/s(10,000fpm) As it was used as a test instrument.
