N.Y. There are 4 different ads for the famous BarcaLounger chairs(an icon of middle-class Americana) made by this company, all published in the mid-1950s; plus two copies of an earlier ad for a less famous type of chair they made, the BarcaLoafer. One of the BarcaLounger ads features 9 comic panels( Found: A Chair That Makes You Relax! by the famous and prolific cartoon illustrator Syd Hoff. The ads all measure slightly over 10 x 13.5” in size. One has a faint dampstain in its upper left corner and a couple show a little age browning. Offered is a collection of Variety bread ads from General Mills. 10 banner like posters which advertise different kinds of bread, these are 22" x 9" these are all in very good condition and quite bright. The stand-up poster is 13" x 10" it is good condition.Also in the Variety bread collection is a cookbook, giving receipts for the bread, but uses 80# of flour for 20 loaves of bread. This comes from General Mills Bakery Sales Service, 9200 Wauzata Blvd, Minneapolis 26, Minn. The last item is an add for Parkay margarine, it is in rough shape, but it advertises using ration points.
