This is a rotary evaporator made by Buchi. Model RE 121. The bath is model B-461. The rotating assembly works well and responds properly to the speed control knob. The speed displays on the digital screen. The thermocouple works as well, displaying the proper temperature. The raise/lower assembly is in very good condition, operating properly.The bath heats up the way it should. The bottom of the rotating ground glass piece is chipped, however most of it is still there and holds/seals the assembly the way it should. The large o-ring on the inner glass vessel will need to be replaced. Overall this is in fair to good condition with some scratches and scale buildup in the heating bath. This is a rarely used 22 Gallons/Hour EMC Waste Water Evaporator. 240 Gallons. Natural Gas or Propane 285,000 BTU Paid $ 14,495.00 New The Model 240G is a natural gas or propane heated waste water evaporator. It is available in two models, the Model 240G Carbon Steel version and the Model 240G-SS 316L Stainless Steel version(tank, floor, lid, covers, and stack are 316L SS) Typical applications include minimizing wastewater from machining operations, parts washing equipment, compressor condensate, mop water, die cast solutions, and many other water based waste streams. Installation is easy consisting of only a 120V electrical hookup, a 10" diameter vent stack, and a 3/4" standard pressure gas line. The unit can be filled three different ways: 1) Using the supplied 2" coupling on the top of the unit; 2) Remove the lid and manually ... morepour in fluid; or(3) Using the optional 70 GPM self priming fill pump. After an initial heat up time of approximately one hour, the Model 240G will evaporate 22 gallons per hour of water.
