Stentura 8000 Steno Machine with Accessories& Owners Manual. Purchased from the owner who retired from court reporting some time ago. She did tell me it was working when she was working. But I have no way to guarantee this. I plugged it in and it powers up, the roller turns when a key is punched and it seems to be in solid, used condition. I do not have any idea how to test this fully, so I have to sell it"as is" with no guarantees or returns. It may or may not need attention, I would assume at minimum it should be serviced. This Stentura 400 SRT steno machine is in clean. Used condition. The machine has a few, slight scuff marks on the side but are not too noticeable. I am trying to be as thorough as I can be in description. The machine also includes: Cables for connecting to your computer for real-time translation. Paper tray. Battery charger/ power supply. Easy Lock tripod. 1) refurbished ribbon. User's guide. Soft side carrying case. There is a mark on the front of the case that I will try to clean off. Also. Stentura 400 SRT User's Guide
This auction is for a copy of the Stentura 400 SRT User's Guide. It's an older version; printed in 1995. But it was handy after I lost my newer manual that came with my first writer. The cover is off-white, so there are ink and pencil marks and it is a bit dirty from being carried in my machine's case. The front cover has small tears/rips along the edges(as can be seen in the photo) Otherwise, it is in good condition and isn't missing any pages. I once thought I was on the road to court reporting. It didn't happen. Now I've got this great Stentura 8000 set that's taking up space in my house. I bought it a year ago. And it had been serviced just before that. The machine seems to be in great shape, but I did find one flaw-the left clip on the screen unit is broken off, although everything still stays in place and functions fine. The machine is housed in a professional. For sale is a previously owned Stentura Protege that comes equipped with a tripod stand. Battery pack, protective case, realtime serial cables and serial-to-USB cable. This model is ready to be hooked up to CAT software for realtime use. This was my machine in school and I used it with the student version of Digital CAT software, which is free. You are bidding on a Used Stentura 6000LX. Tripod, charger and carrying case, no paper tray can be used for working reporter or student. I had just gotten the machine refurbished. You may need a battery or charger because I do have to plug in for full function most of the time. If you are not familiar with the 6000 LX, it is pretty much the same machine as the Stentura 8000 or Stentura 8000 LX, except it doesn't translate English on the screen only steno, but it is real time compatible and I have felt keypads on keys.

Stentura 8000LX Stenograph w/Accs Condition Everything included is in good cosmetic condition. The unit itself shows very few signs of use. The keys' leather pads have worn away a little bit. But that's the worst of the wear. All the accessories are in very nice condition as well. The stand works well and the paper tray is free of cracks. Functionality This unit was tested and was found to be fully functional. The 3.5" floppy disk drive works without any known issues. All of the keys register electronically as well as mechanically without any issues. If you don't like the way any of the keys feel. You can adjust them by referring to the manual and using an appropriately sized hex/Allen wrench. The display is in great shape- no dark spots or dead pixels. According to the serial number. This machine has the larger 4MB RAM, ... moreso it can use larger dictionaries(such as the Phoenix Theory dictionary) than the 2MB versions can use. This unit can be used plugged in to an outlet with the included AC Adapter. Or it can be powered by one of the two included batteries. I must note, however, that the spare battery pack(the one not currently installed in the machine) didn't hold much of a charge- it runs out after around 20 minutes of continuous use. The other battery seems to work much better. Yes, I tried cycle charging it by referring to the user's manual, but it didn't help. The User's Manual will prove very helpful by the way. The Stentura 8000LX can store works-in-progress on floppy disks. But you can also connect it to any current PCs with the proper drivers, software, and a Serial to USB cable(none of which included, but all of which are readily available online) It is also possible to have a USB drive installed in place of the disk drive.
