That you use to check the water temp at different depths. This is a reel type that you put your hand in the hand loop as you see in picture 4 and use the handle to reel up the line you let out. It has a line counter on the side so you know how deep you are and the needle guage on the front shows the temp and battery condition. This uses a 9volt battery to operate, i have one in it and shows good on the meter. This comes with the original papers as you see in picture 5.
