Was able to use a USB mouse and keyboard without problem to operate. This item is a rare vintage US Army Medical Department illuminated otoscope/opthalmascope model 3404200 made by National Electric Instrument Co of Long Island N.Y. All parts in great operating condition. All 5 bulbs work and it comes with 9 various sized speculum. The hinged lid is gold embossed"3404200 MEDICAL DEPT U.S.ARMY" The company name"NATIONAL" also appears on the lid. Latch and hinges work properly as well. Box measures 2.25"x5"x9" and is made of wood and covered with leather or possibly faux leather. One small scuff on lower left front corner. Interior is velvet lined in a gold color. The scope itself is in excellent condition with little signs of wear. It requires 2 C batteries that are not included. The scope body is not plastic but a solid heavy type stainless steel.
