Newport ESP300 3Axis with GPIB, for parts or repair
My trusted Newport ESP300. It served me well for the past 10 years. But now something weird happens that I suspect is a motherboard problem. Whenever I enable a translation stage. One that has worked flawlessly over the years, the motor runs at medium speed until it hits the travel limit. I've checked and rechecked the settings and it is not the problem. I updated the firmware to the latest version, but no luck. SSDD. This happens on all three axis. Which leads me to believe it is a logic fault on the motherboard. I ended up purchasing a new ESP301. The translation stages work as expected. The new model sure isn't as nice as the old on. Newport went backwards with this one in terms of functionality and feel. Oh well. This unit has 3 axes. And the optional GPIB interface. I'll include a hard copy of the manual.
