This is a beautiful handmade beaded purse.It was made in Hong Kong.Im not sure of its age.But I know its old.Im thinking 1920's,30's,but I could be wrong.I dont know much about it,except I bought it at an estate sale many years ago.It has pearly beads all over it with a gold chain and snap closure.It is white with an off white silky material on the inside and a little side pocket.So cute!The beads hang from it by little tiny white beads.There is one bead missing on one side,and there is a slight staining on the inside on the other side of the pocket near the top.It looks like it could have been water but Im not sure.It is hardly noticeable.It is slightly discolored due to age.There is also a stain near the bottom outside that is slightly darker,but again hardly noticeable.It could possibly be cleaned,Im not sure.Even with the flaws ... morethis is truely a little beauty.It measures about 9" from the top of the chain to the bottom of the purse and about 6"across.If you are a collector of such things this would make a nice addition to any collection,and if your not it would make a pretty display piece.It has hung on my bedroom wall for many years,and I have loved it.Any questions please feel free to email me and thank you so much for looking! Good day! Up for sale today we have an official Boy Scouts sewing kit. This kit is really neat and compact. It unsnaps then unfolds twice to get to the inside. There are two flaps that protect the middle part(made out of a green felt material) which contains five safety pins and two sewing needles. On one side of the flap there are two individual pockets and the other side has one bigger pocket. In pictures 7 and 8. I held the pockets open so you could see the difference between the two. I also kept the contents inside to show that they will fit. Included with the kit is everything that came inside it when donated. Those items are the five safety pins and two sewing needles(mentioned before) four green buttons, four white buttons, five snaps(each with both male and female pieces) a Boy Scouts button, a square of white thread, and a very pretty ... morepin holder. I don't think that the pin holder came with the kit but it's very pretty and was inside one of the pockets. The back of it has a Prudential Insurance advertisement, which is pretty cool. Picture 9 shows all the contents that will come with the sewing kit. When folded out, it's close to 12" long. The kit is in pretty good shape. There's a few stains around it. There's a small white stain you can see in picture 7 and some faded red type stains in picture 11. Also on the inside is a name hand written with ink. Overall, it's an awesome little sewing kit. It folds up nicely and the snap still works very well. Whether you're a BSA collector or even wanting a small sewing kit for your purse, bag, or even camping-this is a great buy.
