Ebay-1(2) Golding Official Model 6 Printing Press( pre 1923) This complete inking press has an inside chase dimension of 8-1/4 x 12-1/2” It has its 2 tympan clamps present and movable. Right and left hand gripper fingers present and functioning as well as upper and lower roller hooks with springs. Working. The ink disc rotates slightly on each impression. The roller wheels are present and free on the shafts supplied. The rollers supplied are not inking rollers but foil pulling rollers as the original rollers were completely dried out and crumbling, and I thought it would be better to supply something that may work rather than have them missing. Included will be one shaft that is original from the ink rollers that were trashed, for copying if need be. The roller wheels are correct and turn freely, they are 1-3/8” diameter and according to ... morea copy of a direction sheet that will be supplied the ink rollers themselves should be no more the 1/16” smaller than the roller wheels, the rollers I have supplied are 1/8” smaller but as I said. It measures 18" x 32" The drawer was manufactured by Golding& Co. of Boston Massachusettes prior to 1907 as the building was demolished after that. The case is marked on the wood and also has the original handle. The drawer is in its original condition- has not been retouched.

Little Giant Rule and Leadcutter - Golding Manufacturing Co Printing Typesetting
My research indicates that this is a Little Giant Rule and Leadcutter produced by Golding Manufacturing. Co. in Boston, MA. It may have been manufactured as early as the 1890's. It was used in the typesetting process for offset printing presses. Handle moves freely in a downward motion creating a sheer action. Metal"hook" rotates plus slides left& right through hole in arm and has a set screw to hold it in place. It has a detachable metal stop( that has an N& P embossed on the top. The main surface plate has an engraved pica scale. Made of heavy steel attached to a wooden base. One of the 3 attachment screws is missing. Unknown if any other parts may be missing. Painted black, some of the paint is missing and other exposed surfaces have light rust. Weighs approx. 14 pounds. Size approx. 22"w x 13"d x 17" ... moreh. Rare Printing Press Cast Iron Cutter, Tool, Golding and Co Boston, Pat. 1878
This is an antique very early Cast Iron Cutter by Golding and Co Boston. The patent date is August 1878. The machine was obtained from the sale of an old printing press museum in Colorado. I don't know very much about this piece except that it was probably used as a cutter of some sort. The piece has a handle that raises and lowers with ease. This is a very unusual and rare piece. While researching i couldn't find another one for sale. Please see all photos for detailed condition. The cutter measures 11" tall. When the handle is raised. It measures 9" wide.

Early GOLDING OFFICIAL Tabletop Letterpress Looks to be a Model 2. Great for YOUR Collection. Great way to get into Tabletop Printing. Up for offer is a Original Golding Official Letterpress. Looks to be a Model 2 although I cannot verify that. Marked GOLDING MFG. CO. as well as FRANKLIN. MASS. USA on one side and OFFICIAL on other side. Press is missing the ink disk and the chase as can be seen in photos. Also missing the small finger that rotates the ink disk. No ink rollers. Ink rollers should be readily available on ebay. This could easily be operated without the ink disk as the form could be inked with a hand brayer until a disk can be obtained. Has normal wear from use and storage including scratches. Scuffs, marring and some light spots of surface corrosion is several spots. I have cleaned it and oiled it to the best of my ability ... moreand it LOOKS GREAT. No breaks or repairs. Looks to have what might be original paint. The press opens and closes very nicely and operates very smoothly. Paper platen is offset slightly to the left of the chase area(pic 4) I believe this is as it was set up from the factory. Has gripper arms as shown. J hooks are nice and move freely in guides. J hook springs look to be original and function well. Paper platen measures approx. 4 1/2" x 6 7/8" Weight is approx. 41 pounds. Measures approx. 25" tall from bottom of base to top of arm when arm is upright. Hole for ink disk shaft looks to be 5/8" diameter.Auction includes only what is shown in photos. This is a nice antique printing press by the Golding MFG Company.The Improved Pearl No. 8. It needs restoration and we are still looking for the treadle(will update listing when it is found) The story we have about the press is that it was owned by a man who printed the church bulletin with it for many years somewhere in Bergen County NJ. It was then purchased by my grandfather who held on to it for about 40 years. It also includes all of the items in the above photos and 3 wooden trays of antique lettering. There are a couple of old cigar boxes filled with lettering and little images. There is a large sticker that has information about the press still affixed to the door(see above photos) If you have any questions. Just send a message. A rotating logarithmic computer[sic. I.e. calculator] consisting of three moving circular varnished card pieces of graduating size turning around a brass rivet on a back-board, 6.5 x 6.5 inches, 16 x 16 cms. Together with the original 12 page instruction manual, illustrated. The calculator and its accompaying manual are both in fine near-immaculate condition. As issued, with tissue guard in their original white cardboard box, the box itself being a touch bowed. Henry A. Golding. The designer of this calculator, was the author of"The Theta-Phi diagram practically applied to steam, gas, oil, and air engines" first published in 1898. In 1906, he submitted ... morea complete specification patent application for"Improvements In Power Computing Slide Rules For Steam and Other Engines" Original Patent Application Number 8,196) This computer, marked"Golding's Patent" is almost certainly the fruit of that application. The calculator was designed primarily for steam engine but enables calculations for two-stroke gas and oil engines. Just found a really nice very old Golding M82-2 paper press stacker in ex condition. The cast iron is in fantastic condition! The turn handle spins nicely. Original wooden boards. Found in a local estate which had the basement full of printing block cabinets. Presses, thousands of wood print blocks and so much more that had been untouched for many years, this item is just one of the many that I acquired. Marked on one side of the cast iron stands is GOLDING MF'G Co/ FRANKLIN. MASS. and on the other PAT. JAN. 9. 85. This is clearly an early item from the renowned printing press& tool company from Massachusetts. This item is one that would have been mounted/ secured to a table and it is constructed out ... moreof heavy cast iron and wood. The cast iron is in good condition given its age and there is only very light surface rust in a couple of areas. The hand turning style pressing mechanism turns easily and very smoothly as the threaded bar is clean and free of any rust or debris. The two solid hardwood planks which are secured to the cast iron are also in relatively good condition. The wood is very clean and smooth to the touch however it has darkened over the years and as shown in the photographs, there are areas of staining which I am assuming was caused by an adhesive material back when this item was used. There are a couple of small cracks in the wood towards the lower portion where the screws are inserted into the wood but these are old cracks and there is no sign that the wood will further crack. The cast iron is also very clean to the touch as I have given this item a thorough cleaning(but not to the extent that any'character' was taken away) and the only damage to the cast iron can be seen in picture number 10. There is a clean break in the cast iron which I am assuming would effect the use of this item however because it is a clean break, a repair of this area would
