Vintage Kodak Retina IIIc Camera with Original Leather Case and accessories
Up for auction is a Retina IIIc vintage camera that is in really great shape. It belonged to my dad who took immaculate care of his things. After reading the descriptions in other listings. I do not know what fungus looks like on a camera lens. I do know that these lenses do appear to be clear. There are no major scratches at all on the camera or the lenses, just some minor wear and tear from use as you can see in the pictures. The actual camera body is in near perfect condition as my father always had it in the leather case. The leather case does show some wear and as I was unbuckling it, it ripped, which you can see in the pictures. The camera has a f:2/50mm lens attached to it and the following accessories are also included. I did not put up pictures of all the accessories because I am only allowed 12 and figured the camera is more important ... moreto show. 1. Agfalux for flashbulbs which looks like it was never used. 2. Lens hood for 35mm f:4 lens in its box. 3. An f:4/80mm lens which. Again, looks like it was never used. It comes in its case and box 4. A screw in type 60mm daylight filter for type F film in its box. This does show some type of issue around the edge of the glass. As you can see in the picture. 5. A Retina 50-80 sports finder model C in its box. This looks like it has never been used and the case is in like new condition. As you can see in the picture 6. An f:5.6/35mm lens which looks like it has never been used. The plastic case for it is broken and there does seem to be something on the inside behind the glass lens on the black frame. Again, I do not know what fungus is or looks like so I cannot say exactly what it is. It actually looks like white dust. 7. Another view finder. Not sure what exactly, but you can see it in the pictures, it is the 9th picture. Looks like it is in great shape, and it comes in its leather case which is also in good shape with some minor wear. 8. 3 Ednalite optical glass filters. One for Skylight. Wratten numbers are a labeling system for optical filters. Usually for photographic use. They are named for the man who founded the first company. Frederick Wratten, a British inventor. Wratten and partner C. E. K. Mees sold their company to Eastman Kodak in 1912, and Kodak continued to produce"Wratten Filters" for decades. Even now, as of 2006, Wratten filters are still produced by Kodak, and sold under license through the Tiffen corporation. Filters made by various manufacturers may be identified by Wratten ... morenumbers but not precisely match the spectral definition for that number. This is especially true for filters used for aesthetic(as opposed to technical) reasons; for example. An 81B Warming Filter is a filter used to slightly"warm" the colors in a color photo, making the scene a bit less blue and more red.
