This is a Tama Starclassic Drum Kit in birch 12" Tom 13" Tom 16" Floor Tom 22" Bass Drum It's in pretty good condition. Considering it's around 10 years old. The only signs of wear are just cosmetic. There is some pretty bad scratching on the 13" tom because some stupid roadie decided it would be a good idea to drag it on the stage floor. It is only lacquer deep, and is hidden to people looking from the audience. Other than that, there are a few scratches here and there, but nothing that would show up on camera. The bass drum is the warmest, biggest, and punchiest 22" I've ever heard. You won't be disappointed. This kit is made in Japan, so it has far better craftsmanship than the Chinese kits they're pumping out today. Indigo dyes, Approximate Age, Contemporary, Dimensions, 86 inches x 30 inches, Overall Condition, Good. Most of our pieces have spent decades on at least two continents. And have been treasured by several owners.  Small splits, scrapes and cracks are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use. We examine each piece carefully when we receive it and report any damage we find in our listings. Please look carefully at the pictures which may also reveal condition and damage. Damage/Repair, none, Additional Information: The textile is a print indigo cloth. It is a simplified version of the dyed Indigo cloth. Such cloths ... moreare commonly found throughout West Africa and most specifically among the Hausa. Yoruba, Dogon, Mende, Bamana, Senufo, Fulani, and Igbo. This one comes from the Kano region in the northern Nigeria, an area mainly occupies by the Hausa. The panel is made out of indigo dyed resist. This textile is decorated with interesting comb-like motif patterns inserted in squares. The Hausa continue to produce some fine woven textiles. Primarily in the Kano State of Northern Nigeria, as well as exquisite, tightly-woven baskets. Hausa men wear flowing embroidered robes called"riga, which are prized by collectors, and identified most often with the Hausa, but these textiles are not unique to the them and are, in fact, worn by several groups throughout the region. Lushly quilted Indigo Blue & White FEATHERED STAR CUTTER antique quilt 8-9spi
Miss the old version of this page? everything on one long page. vfsce. Hat a beautifully made quilt this Feathered Star was. Alas. Its red print must have had a black or brown element that neatly disintegrated away over time, leaving heavily weakened fabric and exposing the batting so that it pilled and clumped where unprotected. Some 18 beautifully quilted open white blocks remain and there's still a strangely strong graphic appeal to the intact quilt as-is. so maybe you have the perfect next stage for its checkered life? I would imagine this dates to the last quarter of the 1800's. Size The quilt measures about 72 x 74 inches. The blocks are about 12 inches square and the tiny half-square triangles are only 3/4-inch square. Quilting The hand-quilting is lovely. With 8-9 little stitches to the inch. Counting on the top side of the ... morequilt only. Construction The blocks are tightly hand-pieced and I think the long seams are by hand as well. Backing. Binding& Batting The white backing is clean and bright but has about 8 blocks where damage on the front shows through as clusters of small through-holes on the reverse. The sweet little hand-applied indigo binding along two sides gives way to a machine-applied black gingham along the other two. But both bindings are heavily worn and frayed along the edges. Please note that some of the binding appears missing in the overall picture. But that's just my sloppy editing. It's there all the way around. The batting is super thin and even. Though I do find some flat spots and of course there are losses in the centers of the blocks where fabric has worn away. Condition The quilt's condition is strong and clean. But clearly very compromised thanks to that red wearing away and the resulting damage to batting. Although there's heavy wear and through-holes in the star blocks, I find very little damage to the beautifully quilted open white blocks. I only detect minor surface wear, snagging etc. on four of them. I note some minor staining which is pictured.

Antique/Vintage CHURN DASH Quilt TOP made in New England c.1875. This wonderful early quilt top is 76 inches long by 70 inches wide. There are a total of 42 Churn Dash blocks that are each 8 inches square. The cotton fabrics are scrumtious INDIGO BLUES. MADDER BROWNS, MOURNING prints, assorted SHIRTINGS, etc. that have never been washed and are crisp and vibrant. The Mourning print sashing between blocks is 2.5" wide. The two side borders are 4.5 inches wide by 76" and they are of a little darker Mourning print. Every stitch is done precisely by Hand with all points sharp. Excellent never used condition with no spots or stains. Pix#11 shows a small eraser size hole near an edge. The last pix shows a close-up of the back. Two 37 1/2" panels sewn together down the middle. Hand woven Birds. Scrolls, flowers and flowers in urns. It is signed at the bottom in the corners: 1847 Wove by J.S. For M.M. Simon. We believe this to be from Pennsylvania. We have also found a similar signature on a coverlet in the Henry Ford Museum dated 1837. It measures 86" x 75" This coverlet is in good condition for its advanced age. There is some faint spotting. A couple small holes, fringe missing about the edges, and missing or loose threads, especially on one side, as shown in photos. And have been treasured by several owners.  Small splits, scrapes and cracks are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use. We examine each piece carefully when we receive it and report any damage we find in our listings. Please look carefully at the pictures which may also reveal condition and damage. Damage/Repair, discoloration in places, Additional Information: This panel is a part of a woman outfit from the Yoruba people of Nigeria. But such cloths are commonly found throughout ... moreWest Africa and most specifically among the Yoruba. Dogon, Mende, Bamana, Senufo, Hausa, Fulani, and Igbo. made out of indigo dyed resist with synthetic indigo in the Ibadan Dun Patterns. This is an adire eleko, machine stitching used to resist and make patterns. This textile decorated with interesting cowrie shell motifs drawn by hand. Starch-resist is a technique that consists of applying a dye-resisting agent to a cotton fabric by coating the surface of the cotton cloth with flour paste(cassava or cornflower) and then immersing it in a cold water dye such as indigo as is the case for this textile. Starch is only applied to one side of the cloth. Cassava starch will be applied through the zinc stencils and the stencils placed on top of the cloth would be pressed into the cloth with a metal spatula. To well perform this task the cloth will be nailed flat on a table. A series of stencils may be required to get good patterns. The cloth will then be soaked into the the indigo- dye bath repeatedly to make sure the dyeing process is well-done. Vintage 1840's Indigo & White Antique Coverlet
You are bidding on a Vintage 1840's Indigo& White Antique Coverlet. This belongs to a 90 year friend. It has been in her family since at least 1845. She has old letters telling of its existence and passage thru the family. You can get an idea of condition from the photos as some will show where time took its place. There are a few light brownish spots very common in these types of coverlets from this time period. The size is 58 x 91 and was woven in 2 pieces. The seam is coming apart and will have to be repaired. The fringe is gone except for one side. There is one thin spot in picture 10. If you have questions please ask.

An early Pennsylvania coverlet with blue wool threads and wide fringe. There's a hand sewn center seam. It measures 93 x 73 inches. Without fringe. The fringe measures 6 inch. There's scattered areas that the wools threads are missing and when held up to the light you can also see the bites to the threads. This is scattered throughout. Some of it you can see in our pictures that more noticeable. Some age spotting. The fringe has darkened from age. The coverlet appears to be the crisp type and hasn't been used. I have a very. Very nice Tama Starclassic Birch Floor Tom 16x16 for sale made in Japan. Color is Indigo Blue lacquer. The color is a darker shade indoors. There are a few very minor nicks, dings on the drum, nothing major. Please review pictures and I can send additional pics if you like. It is a used drum that is a few years old. Chrome on drum is perfect. Bearing edges are perfect as well. Floor tom leg memory locks have some minor scuffs. Drum has EVANS genera g2 coated on top with some wear and an EVANS genera g1 clear on the bottom. This is a great option to put next to hi-hat or as an addition if you have a 14" fusion floor tom. If you already have a 16" FT just tune one lower. They no longer make this color and special order is about $650+ and takes months.
