Old department store clothing rack. This came out of a de'jongs department store in evansville in that was closed down. Very cool well made piece. It is stamped on the bottom and I believe it says Darling and then made in the USA. I have seen other antique stoves made in evansville that were also stamped darling so I believe this piece was made in evansville. This is a heavy item. I would say it weighs close to 75 pounds. Vintage American Industrial Freestanding Dept Store Clothing Rack 67"x 30"
Original early Depression-era vintage industrial freestanding double-arm department store garment rack. This is a sturdy piece that shows some ear from age. The central upright tubular steel pole is grounded by a disc shaped weighted base. This central pole contains two arms finished with end caps. There is a'cap' at the top used to keep the arms locked that is missing. A great addition to a store. Or for a collector. It measures 67" tall and is 30" in width.

This is a SPECTACULAR LOOKING LARGE VINTAGE ROLLING THEATRE WARDROBE RACK. This was recently retired by the Lexington Actors Guild. Been used for thousands of performances over the past decades. Pipe rails. 2 on top, three in middle for multiple uses. Heavy galvanized pipe, 2 X 4, 2X6, and 2X8 construction, bolted together with heavy industrial bolts. Heavy duty Industrial casters. A deep dark green. Pipes in middle have a bit of sway back to them. All of this just adds to the look of this piece. It is still completely structurally sound, a very solid piece. Add the look of this piece to its lifetime story and you have a very unique item that will be a spotlight item for your space. The pics do not do this piece ... morejustice. It has that beautiful vintage industrial look along with the look of being around in the theater for years. It really is a stunning piece that will draw everyone's attention.
