The rack is on wheels for easy transport/ moving. In original condition. See the photo of the bottom, there is a weld mark that one spot had some repair. Also on the tops there is the letter"G" I'm assuming it is the makers mark. The rack does separate and the ends. Very very heavy duty. round decorative finials at the top! Wear is consistent with age, and gives it a great patina. Measurements-61" high(to top of the finial) 58" to the top bar, 53 1/2 wide and the base/ feet are 15 1/2" approximate. This listing is for ONE(1) of 2 rare and original antique industrial"rounder" rolling clothing rack manufactured in the early 20th century by Williams of New York. There are a total of TWO(2) racks being sold separately. These exceptional racks features a cast iron leg base on casters. Steel shaft and cast iron, embossed arms holding the hoop. There are no breaks or repairs to these items and they're completely original. They measure approx 68" in height. A diameter of 31" and the base is 29" from end to end. This base was salvaged from an old department store years ago. It is missing the top half. Sold as is. It is the base with the stem and knob only. The top half that would have held the clothing rack is missing. It has scratching and scuff marks. Surface rust in spots. Knob seems to work as it should. 2 Antique 1940s 50s Vintage Hat & Shoe Store Display Racks Metal 17" 18" tall
Offering two antique store display racks. Mid 1900s. From a local clothing store. The shoe rack is 18" tall, 4 5/8" across the weighted base, 14" wide at the top. The hat rack is 17" tall, 5 1/8" across the weighted base, 7" wide at top.These are metal with a chrome finish, weighted bottoms. CONDITION: Good used condition. Not broken or bent.They both need some cleaning. There are small specks on the bases. And a glue spot from a sticker. Check my other listings for more. I will combine shipping by weight. Up for auction is this vintage free standing clothes rack. It is very ornate with all it's curves.It is approx 6 ft Tall. The top diameter is approx 2ft and the base is 2ft 5" from one end to the other.the very top originally had a wood finial but it did not survive time.only 1 wood ball at the end survived as pictured.I believe it is made of steel.I have not seen one like this with so much detail to it.I have used it as is for many many years in my closet. It holds a lot of garments.a unique piece to say the least and with a little elbow grease it can be brought back to its splendor. Vintage Industrial Antique Clothing Rounder Rack Cast Iron 1900s Japanned
You're looking at a rare and ORIGINAL antique industrial"rounder" rolling clothing rack manufactured in the early 20th century. This exceptional piece features a cast iron leg base on casters. Steel shaft and embossed cast iron arms holding the hoop. The original and bright Japanning(copper oxidize effect) is present on the upper section of the rounder as well as the finial. This item is in wonderful condition and very sturdy. As you can see in pic#12, there is a small break in one of the iron arms which could be easily repaired or left alone as it doesn't affect the strength of the rounder.
